ST HELENS BOROUGH COUNCIL ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT

ESTABLISHMENT OF PEDESTRIAN CROSSING

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that St Helens Borough Council in exercise of its powers and having consulted with the Chief of Police under Section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, proposes to install a pedestrian crossing at the location indicated in the Schedule below.

Peasley Cross Lane (southbound) Approximately 20 metres south of its roundabout junction with Parr Street and Linkway East From its roundabout junction with Parr Street and Linkway East for a distance of approximately 44 metres in a southerly direction
Parr Street (eastbound) Approximately 20 metres east of its roundabout junction with Peasley Cross Lane and Phoenix Brow From its roundabout junction with Peasley Cross Lane and Phoenix Brow for a distance of approximately 44 metres in an easterly direction
Parr Street (westbound) Approximately 28 metres east of its roundabout junction with Peasley Cross Lane and Phoenix Brow From a point approximately 8 metres east of its roundabout junction with Peasley Cross Lane and Phoenix Brow for a distance of approximately 44 metres in an easterly direction
Linkway East (southbound) Approximately 16 metres south of its roundabout junction with Peasley Cross Lane and Parr Street From its roundabout junction with Peasley Cross Lane and Parr Street for a distance of approximately 40 metres in a southerly direction
Linkway East (northbound) Approximately 24 metres south of its roundabout junction with Peasley Cross Lane and Parr Street From a point approximately 4 metres south of its roundabout junction with Peasley Cross Lane and Parr Street for a distance of approximately 44 metres in a southerly direction

A copy of the proposed scheme can be requested via traffic@sthelens.gov.uk or by contacting 01744 676398.

Any person wishing to object or make representations must do so in writing to the undersigned, via traffic@sthelens.gov.uk or the postal address provided, to be received by no later than 3rd September 2026, specifying the grounds on which they are made.
