ON STREET PARKING PLACES, RESIDENTS’ PARKING PLACES AND TAXI STANDS)
(AMENDMENT NO 11) ORDER 2024 (“AMENDMENT NO 11 ORDER”)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Blackpool Borough Council proposes to make an Order under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 32, 46, 46A, 47, 49, 53 and 124 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act of 1984 and under the Traffic Management Act 2004 and the Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (Borough of Blackpool) Order 2003 (Statutory Instrument No 2677) and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which will be to introduce the following restrictions as specified below:
RESTRICTIONS TO BE INTRODUCED
1. No waiting at any time on the following parts of streets: Ashfield Road (east side); Snowhill Crescent (both sides); Edmonton Place (east and west sides); Powell Avenue (north side); Grange Park (on Boundary Place, Grange Close and Harvest Road); Victoria Street (both sides); Rear of St Paul’s Road (both sides); Bridge House Road (both sides); Halton Gardens (south side); Queen Street (north and south sides); Charles Street (south side); Goldsboro Avenue (north side); Stanley Park Close (east and west sides).
2. No waiting at any time and no loading/unloading at any time on the following parts of streets: High Street (west side); Clifton Road (both sides); Queen Street (north and south sides).
3. No loading/unloading between 10:30 am and 6:00 pm on Victoria Street (both sides).
4. Loading bay 15 mins no return within 30 mins on parts of High Street (west side).
5. Loading bay 30 mins no return within 60 mins on parts of Queen Street (south side).
6. Taxi rank no stopping except taxis on parts of Queen Street (north and south sides).
7. Restricted parking zone on parts of Deansgate.
A copy of the proposed Order, along with a plan and a statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order may be inspected at Customer First, Municipal Buildings, Corporation Street, Blackpool, FY1 1NF. Please telephone 01253 477477 to make an appointment to view the documents.
Any objections or representations relating to the proposed Order must be made quoting the title of the proposed Order before 9:00 am on 4 September 2026 by one of the following methods:
1. in writing stating the grounds for any objection and should be sent to either Head of Transportation Highways, Blackpool Council, PO Box 4, Blackpool, FY1 1NA; or
2. by scanning the QR code below using your phone camera or a QR code application, and then following the onscreen instructions and clicking Submit Feedback in the Active Consultations tab.
