Powson Bridge - Temporary Road Closure Due To Parapet Replacement Works

WESTMORLAND AND FURNESS COUNCIL (C5069 POWSON BRIDGE NEAR LAMBRIGG)

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 026

NOTICE IS HEREBY that to enable parapet replacement works to be carried out (“the Works”), Westmorland and Furness Council, intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that section of the C5069 Powson Bridge for a distance of 25m either side of the bridge.

A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times and a suitable alternative route for vehicles will be signed and available via the C5070, C5068 Docker Lane, C5069 Kinn Road, A684 and C5069 Old Scotch Road.

The Order will come into operation on 1st September 2026 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restriction will only be required for 9 weeks and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
