(PINFOLD LANE, FLOCKTON, WAKEFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Pinfold Lane, Flockton from its junction with Barnsley Road to its junction with Beckside PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via the unaffected length of Pinfold Lane, Clough Road, Church Street, Chapel Lane, Jagger Lane, Westfield Lane, Windmill Lane, Haigh Lane, Barnsley Road.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Tuesday, 1 September 2026 and remain in force until 3rd September 2026 between 08:00 hours to 18:00 hours only (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(VIADUCT STREET/KNOWLE ROAD, SLAITHWAITE, HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Viaduct Street/Knowle Road, Slaithwaite from its junction with London Road to its junction with Knowle Road PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

There is no alternative diversionary route available. Closure will be marshalled.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday, 31 August 2026 and remain in force until 5 September 2026 between 22:00 hours to 06:00 hours only (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(ST JOHN’S ROAD/BECK ROAD/ CASTLEGATE, HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the following lengths of roads in Huddersfield:-

Castlegate (anti-clockwise) - from a point east of St John’s Road to a point adjacent Castlegate Loop
Castlegate (clockwise) - from its junction with Trinity Street slip road to its junction with Unna Way
St John’s Road (north) - from a point north side of Beck Road to its junction with Castlegate
St John’s Road (south) - from Castlegate to its junction with Rook Street including St John’s Road slip road
Beck Road - from its junction with St John’s Road to its junction with Willow Street PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via the following routes:

Castlegate (anti-clockwise)
Route 1 - (traffic approaching from St John’s Road north side and the east) - via Unna Way, Southgate, Shorehead Roundabout, Queensgate, Westgate;

Route 2 - (traffic approaching from St John’s Road south side) - via John William Street, Westgate, Castlegate; Castlegate (clockwise)

Route 1 - (traffic approaching from Castlegate south and Trinity Street) - via New North Road, Fitzwilliam Street, Castlegate Loop, Castlegate, Queensgate, Shorehead Roundabout, Southgate;

Route 2 - (traffic approaching from St John’s Road north side) - via Willow Lane, Bradford Road, Northgate; St John’s Road (north side)

Route 1 - (traffic approaching from St John’s Road south side and Castlegate) - via off-slip onto Bradford Road, Bradford Road, Willow Lane;

Route 2 - (traffic approaching from Birkby) - via Willow Lane, Bradford Road, Northgate, Castlegate St John’s Road (south side)

Route 1 - (traffic turning right off Castlegate and approaching from St John’s Road north side) - via Unna Way, Southgate, Shorehead Roundabout, Southgate, Castlegate, Viaduct Street, John William Street;

Route 2 - (traffic turning left off Castlegate) - via Castlegate, Trinity Street, Fitzwilliam Street, Besancon Bridge, Fitzwilliam Street, John William Street;

Route 3 - (traffic approaching from Viaduct Street and Fitzwilliam Street) - via John William Street, Northumberland Street, Southgate, Castlegate;

Beck Road - via the unaffected length of Beck Road, Willow Lane and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday, 31 August 2026 and remain in force until 26 September 2026 between 19:00 hours to 06:00 hours only (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(WOODHOUSE LANE/ASH LANE, EMLEY, HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC)ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Woodhouse Lane/Ash Lane, Emley from its junction with Wakefield Road to its junction with Hag Hill Lane PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be via the following routes:-

Diversion 1 - via Upper Lane, Chapel Lane, Leys Lane, Park lane, Station Road, Commercial Road, Busker Lane, Wakefield Road and vice versa.

Diversion 2 (large vehicles) - via Chapel Lane, Jagger Lane, Titus Lane, Drinker Lane, Wool Row Lane, Green House Hill, Bark House Lane, Huddersfield Road then join diversion 1 above.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Tuesday, 1 September 2026 and remain in force until 25 September 2026 between 08:00 hours to 18:00 hours only (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(BLAGDEN LANE, NEWSOME, HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Blagden Lane, Newsome from its junction with Blagden Lane/Falcon Street to a point outside property no. 42 PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via the unaffected length of Blagden Lane, Close Hill Lane, Edale Avenue.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Tuesday, 1 September 2026 and remain in force until 7 September 2026 between 08:00 hours to 17:00 hours only (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(SHAW LANE, HOLMFIRTH) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Shaw Lane, Holmfirth from a point outside property no. 55 to a point outside property no. 59 PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via the unaffected length of Shaw Lane, Fairfields Road, Yew Tree Lane, Cold Well Lane, Carr Lane, Mellor Lane, Booth House Lane.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday, 31 August 2026 and remain in force until 4 September 2026 between 08:00 hours to 18:00 hours only (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(COPLEY BANK ROAD, GOLCAR, HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Copley Bank Road, Golcar from its junction with Share Hill for approximately 100 metres PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via the unaffected length of Copley Bank Road, Bank End Lane, Slades Lane, Swallow Lane, Town End, Church Street, Knowl Road, James Street, Brook Street, Share Hill Road.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday, 31 August 2026 and remain in force until 28 September 2026 between 07:00 hours to 19:00 hours only (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(STONECROFT GARDENS, SHEPLEY, HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Stonecroft Gardens, Shepley from a point outside property no. 3 to a point outside property no. 9a PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

There is no alternative diversionary route available.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday, 17 August 2026 and remain in force until 21 August 2026 between 08:00 hours and 18:00 hours only (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(BROW LANE, HOLMFIRTH) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Brow Lane, Holmfirth from a point approximately 155 metres from junction with Royd Lane to its junction with Ward Place Lane PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Cemetery Road, Cartworth Road, Cartworth Bank Road, Gill Lane, Stony Gate, Hill House Road, Brow Lane.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday, 17 August 2026 and remain in force until 28 August 2026 between 08:00 hours to 17:00 hours only (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(MAIN AVENUE, COWLERSLEY HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC)ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Main Avenue, Cowlersley from a point outside no. 1A Main Avenue to its termination point. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

There is no alternative diversionary route available.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Wednesday, 19 August 2026 and remain in force until 25th August 2026 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(BANK TOP LANE/FIELD END LANE, HOLMBRIDGE, HOLMFIRTH) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Bank Top Lane/Field End Lane, Holmbridge from its junction with Holmclose to its junction with Digley Royd Lane PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday, 17 August 2026 and remain in force until 28 August 2026 between 08:00 hours to 17:00 hours only (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(BOG GREEN LANE, COLNE BRIDGE, HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Bog Green Lane, Colne Bridge from its junction with Mill Lane for approximately 10 metres in an easterly direction PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Bog Green Lane, Moor Top Road, Liley Lane, Wakefield Road, Southgate, Leeds Road, Cooper Bridge Road, Colne Bridge Road.

It is intended that the closure will commence at 08:00 hours on Sunday, 16 August 2026 and remain in force until 06:00 hours on 17 August 2026 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(SHARP LANE, ALMONDBURY, HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Sharp Lane, Almondbury from its junction with Arkenley Lane to its junction with Westgate PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Arkenley Lane, St Helen’s Gate, Northgate, Westgate.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday, 17 August 2026 and remain in force until 9 October 2026 between 08:00 hours to 18:00 hours only (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(MARSDEN LANE/WAREHOUSE HILL ROAD, MARSDEN, HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Marsden Lane/Warehouse Hill Road from a point approximately 40 metres south west of Huddersfield Narrow Canal bridge to a point approximately 5 metres north east of Huddersfield Narrow Canal bridge PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

(SCHOOL LANE/ST MARY’S LANE, KIRKHEATON, HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of School Lane/St Mary’s Lane from School Lane to a point approximately 50 metres north of Lane Side Lane PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

(LONGLANDS ROAD, SLAITHWAITE, HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Longlands Road, Slaithwaite from a point outside property no. 9 to a point outside property no. 13 PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Hawthorn Road, Longlands Avenue, Longroyd Crescent, Longlands Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will commence at 19:00 hours on Tuesday, 18 August 2026 and remain in force until 06:00 hours on 19 August 2026 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(HILL TOP ROAD, DALTON, HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Hill Top Road, Dalton from its junction with Broad Lane to a point to side of property no. 1 Carr Green Lane on Hill Top Road PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Broad Lane, Coniston Avenue, the unaffected length of Hill Top Road.

It is intended that the closure will commence at 19:00 hours on Wednesday, 19 August 2026 and remain in force until 06:00 hours on 20 August 2026 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(PEEL STREET, MARSDEN, HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Peel Street, Marsden from a point outside property no. 34 to a point outside property no. 32 PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Station Road, Church Lane, Town Gate, Manchester Road.

It is intended that the closure will commence at 19:00 hours on Thursday, 20 August 2026 remain in force until 06:00 hours on 21 August 2026 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).
