TEMPORARY CLOSING OF BRIDLEWAY THUNDRIDGE 048

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council intend to make an Order under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit pedestrians, horseriders, and cyclists from using that length of Bridleway Thundridge 048, 100 meters from junction with North Drive, for an approximate distance of 17m.

Alternative Route: no suitable alternative on PRoW network

The purpose of the Order is to enable utility works works to take place.

The section of Bridleway Thundridge 048 will be closed on or after 01 September 2026 for up to 1 day, when signs are in place.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PARK ROAD AND TRAPSTYLE ROAD, WARE) ORDER 2026

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”) :-

1. that length of Park Road, Ware from its junction with Trapstyle Road south westwards for a distance of approximately 246m.

There is no alternative route available, but access will be maintained wherever possible throughout the duration of the works.

2. that length of Trapstyle Road, Ware from its junction with The Brickfields south eastwards to its junction with Ware Town Public Footpath No.017, a distance of approximately 55m.

There is no alternative route available, but access will be maintained wherever possible throughout the duration of the works.

The Order is needed because water connection works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

The Order will come into effect from 30 August 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 37 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF GYPSY LANE, GREAT AMWELL) ORDER 2026

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Gypsy Lane, Great Amwell from its junction with A1170 Pepper Hill south westwards for a distance of approximately 44m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via A1170 Pepper Hill, B1502 Stanstead Road and Gypsy Lane.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order will come into effect from 29 August 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 1 day to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF WHARF ROAD, WORMLEY) ORDER 2026

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Wharf Road, Wormley from a point 50m south east of its junction with A1170 High Road south eastwards for a distance of approximately 40m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via Wharf Road, A1170 High Road, Cozens Lane East, Lammasmead and Wharf Road.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order will come into effect from 31 August 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 5 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF C41 (UNNAMED ROAD), BABBS GREEN) ORDER 2026

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of C41 (unnamed road), Babbs Green from a point 100m south west of its junction with Fanhams Hall Road south westwards for a distance of approximately 100m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via C41 (unnamed road), Fanhams Hall Road, Musley Hill, New Road, B1004 (Star Street/Widbury Hill/Ware Road) and C41 (unnamed road).

The Order is needed because the replacement of an existing telegraph pole is proposed to be executed near the Road.

The Order will come into effect from 1 September 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 2 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PELHAM ROAD, BRAUGHING) ORDER NO.2 2026

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Pelham Road, Braughing from a point 490m south west of its junction with Albury Public Footpath No.031 south westwards for a distance of approximately 100m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Pelham Road, Braughing Road, Patient End, C35 (unnamed road), C15 (unnamed road), Gravesend, Clapgate, Albury Road, Standon Road, A120 (Standon Road/Stortford Road/Kents Lane), Station Road, High Street, Buntingford Road, B1368 (Wickham Hill/Station Road), Fore Street, The Street and Pelham Road.

The Order is needed because the replacement of an existing telegraph pole is proposed to be executed near the Road.

The Order will come into effect from 2 September 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 2 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF MILL LANE, WATTON AT STONE) ORDER 2026

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Mill Lane, Watton At Stone from its junction with Whempstead Lane south westwards to its junction with A602 Watton at Stone Bypass, a distance of approximately 1117m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via Mill Lane, Whempstead Road, A602 (Ware Road/Watton at Stone Bypass) and Mill Lane.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order will come into effect from 31 August 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 5 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT MEASURES ON VARIOUS ROADS IN WARE AND WADESMILL) ORDER 2026

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect on the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”) will be:-

1. To prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the southbound carriageway of A10 (unnamed road), Ware from its junction with the A10 southbound slip road leading onto the B1001 Westmill Road/A602 Westmill Road roundabout south westwards for a distance of approximately 916m.

An alternative route will be via the A10 southbound slip road leading onto the B1001 Westmill Road/A602 Westmill Road roundabout and the A10 southbound slip road leading from the B1001 Westmill Road/A602 Westmill Road roundabout onto the southbound carriageway of A10 (unnamed road).

2. To prohibit all vehicular traffic from being driven at a speed exceeding 40mph on the southbound carriageway of A10 Wadesmill Bypass, Wadesmill and A10 (unnamed road), Ware from a point 1917m north east of its junction with the A10 southbound slip road leading onto the B1001 Westmill Road/A602 Westmill Road roundabout south westwards for a distance of approximately 2833m, when signs are in place.

The Order is needed because concrete repair works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

The Order will come into effect from 16 August 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 23 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF HORNS ROAD, HERTFORD) ORDER 2026

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Horns Road, Hertford from its junction with Hertford Public Byway Open to All Traffic No.034 southwards for a distance of approximately 100m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via Horns Road, West Street, A414 (Gascoyne Way/ Hertingfordbury Road), the A119 Cross Lane roundabout, A414 (Hertingfordbury Road/ Gascoyne Way), B158 (Hale Road/Pegs Lane/Bullocks Lane) and Horns Road.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order will come into effect from 18 August 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 3 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF GOBIONS LANE, STAPLEFORD/BRAMFIELD) ORDER 2026

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Gobions Lane, Stapleford/Bramfield from its junction with A119 High Road north westwards, south westwards and south eastwards for a distance of approximately 1435m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via A119 (High Road/Hertford Road/North Road), Bramfield Road, Tattle Hill, Main Road, Winding Shott and Gobions Lane.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order will come into effect from 17 August 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 5 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF MANGROVE ROAD, HERTFORD) ORDER 2026

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Mangrove Road, Hertford from its junction with Richardson Drive north westwards to its junction with Ashbourne Gardens, a distance of approximately 95m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via Mangrove Road, Mangrove Lane, Goose Green Lord Street, Lord Street, Taverners Way, Pauls Lane, Amwell Street, A1170 Amwell Street, B1197 (Hertford Road/London Road), A414 London Road and Mangrove Road.

The Order is needed because blockage clearance works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order will come into effect from 20 August 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 2 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF B1037 (UNNAMED ROAD), COTTERED) ORDER NO.3 2026

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of B1037 (unnamed road), Cottered from a point 214m south west of its junction with Warren Lane north eastwards for a distance of approximately 30m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via B1037 (unnamed road), A507 (Baldock Road/unnamed road/Clothall Road), B656 (Whitehorse Street/Hitchin Street/Letchworth Road/Baldock Road), A505 (Letchworth Gate/Baldock Bypass), B197 (Jacks Hill/High Street/Graveley Road/North Road), A1072 Martins Way, A1155 Verity Way and B1037 (Fairlands Way/Stevenage Road/ High Street/White Hill/unnamed road).

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order will come into effect from 16 August 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 3 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.
