This temporary closure is required to enable underground duct installation for new service work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Notice of Confirmation of Public Path Order
CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL
(PULLOXHILL: PART OF FOOTPATH NO. 16)
PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER 2026
On 7 August 2026 Central Bedfordshire Council confirmed the above Order made under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980.
The effect of the Order as confirmed is to divert part of Footpath No. 16, Pulloxhill as described below.
The length of Footpath No. 16, Pulloxhill to be stopped up extends from Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OS GR) TL 0625 3366 in a south-southwesterly direction for approximately 158 metres to the boundary hedge of The Leys at OS GR TL 0617 3352 then continues in a generally west-southwesterly direction for approximately 49 metres to terminate at its junction with Blackhill Lane at OS GR TL 0613 3350.
The footpath is stopped up across its full width.
The length of Footpath No. 16, Pulloxhill to be created extends from Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OS GR) TL 0625 3366 in a generally easterly direction for approximately 2 metres to OS GR TL 0625 3366 then continues in a generally south-south-westerly direction for approximately 74 metres along a track to a field boundary at OS GR TL 0621 3360 then continues in a generally south-south-westerly direction for approximately 86 metres across a paddock to the boundary of The Leys at OS GR TL 0616 3352 then continues in a generally north-westerly then south-westerly direction for approximately 26 metres to OS GR TL 0614 3352 then continues in a generally south-south-westerly direction for approximately 28 metres to its junction with Blackhill Lane at OS GR TL 0613 3350.
The new route of the footpath has a width of 2 metres.

The order comes into force on 14 August 2026 but if a person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within 6 weeks from 13 August 2026 make an application to the High Court.

PROPOSES TO INTRODUCE NO WAITING AT ANY TIME
ON MARSTON ROAD, LIDLINGTON
Reason for proposal: The proposed waiting restrictions are intended to address issues arising from indiscriminate parking and to ensure that junction visibility is not obstructed by parked vehicles. The proposal will therefore help to reduce the likelihood of conflict between vehicles and support the safe and efficient movement of traffic.
Effect of the Order:
To introduce No Waiting at Any Time on the following lengths of road in Lidlington:-
1. Marston Road, north-east side, from a point approximately 2.5 metres south-west of the shared property boundary between No.7 and No. 8 Marston Road and extending in a north-easterly direction for approximately 35 metres.
