Ravenside Terrace - Temporary Road Closure Due To Sewer Repair Works
What is happening?
The County Council of Durham (Ravenside Terrace Rear, Blackhill, Consett) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2026
The Council proposes to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from proceeding on the following length of road. A 14 metre length of road to the rear of No. 35-39 Ritsons Road and No. 2-3 Ravenside Terrace to enable sewer repair works to be undertaken. Throughout the period of the closure, a diversion will be available to vehicular traffic to the front of Ritsons Road. The maximum duration of the Order is 18 months. The works are required from 8am on Tuesday 1/9/2026 and for the duration of the works anticipated to be 4 days. On occasions, alternative dates for the closure may be necessary and these will be signed on site accordingly.
