What is happening?

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council intends to make an order under Section 16(A) of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 to allow the Overton 5 Road Race 2026 to take place out on or near the road   ROADS TO BE CLOSED: Straight Lane between its junction with B3400 and its junction with Polhampton Farm Road. (10:15-10:45) Polhampton Farm Road between its junction with Straight Lane and its junction with Station Road. (10:30-10:50) Station Road between its junction with Station Approach and continuing to a point 300 metres Southwest on Station Road. (10:20-12:00) Kingsdown Lane between its junction with Station Approach and its junction with Harrow Way. (10:30-12:00) Harrow Way between its junction with Kingsdown Lane and its junction with Ashe Lane. (10:40-11:15) Ashe Lane between its junction with Harrow Way and its junction with White Lane. (10:40-11:30) White Lane between its junction with Ashe Lane and its junction with Harrow Way. (10:50-11:50) Church Road between its junction with B3051 Kingsclere Road and its junction with Bridge Street. (10:50-12:00)  
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Traffic management and marshals will be on the route to advise on traffic diversions if needed. The roads will be reopened once the final runner has passed through.  
DURATION OF ORDER: from Sunday 6th September 2026 between the hours 10:15–12:00 for 1 day or until the event has ended, whichever is sooner. Reasonable facilities will be provided to allow access to adjacent premises while the event is being carried out. The Temporary Road Closures have been granted by Hampshire County Council to facilitate the event of the Overton 5 Road Race 2026.
