What is happening?

SLOUGH BOROUGH COUNCIL 
Section 21 of the Town Police Clauses 
Act 1847 (TPCA 1847)
Slough Borough Council Temporary 
Closure of Roads for the Eid-Milad-Un-Nabi Event 2026 (Order 19 of 2026) 
1. SLOUGH BOROUGH COUNCIL gives notice 
that it has made an Order under section 21 
of the TPCA 1847 and any other enabling 
powers over: 
 Stoke Poges Lane (from its junction with the 
A4/Bath Road to Elliman Avenue), Elliman 
Avenue (between Stoke Poges Lane and 
Stoke Road), Shaggy Calf Lane (for its entire 
length), Wexham Road (between Shaggy Calf 
Lane and Diamond Road) and Diamond Road 
(for its entire length).
2. The Order is made to prevent danger to 
event-goers on the highways specified in 
paragraph 1 during the event as part of the 
Eid-Milad-Un-Nabi Event 2026.
3. The Order shall come into operation on 
Sunday 30th August 2026 from 09:00 hours 
to 15:00 hours. 
4. While the Order is in operation, all traffic 
including bicycle (but not including 
pedestrian) movement along the highways 
specified in paragraph 1 will be temporarily 
restricted (except for emergency access).
5. Nothing in the Order will apply to: 
 • Anything done with the permission of or at 
the direction of a police officer.
 • Any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes or for the purposes of 
a statutory undertaker in an emergency, such 
as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity or 
water to premises in the area, which requires 
vehicles to be brought onto a section of 
highway to which the Order applies.
 • Any vehicle used in connection with the 
Eid-Milad-Un-Nabi Event 2026.
