(LLETTY DAFFYDD, CLYNE) (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2026
NOTICE is hereby given that Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council intend in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).
The effect of the Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicular traffic from proceeding along the length of road set out in the Schedule below whilst the Order is in force. During such periods as are indicated by traffic signs informing the public that the road is closed.
The Order is necessary to enable Network Rail to undertake civil engineering works to the bridge in the highway and for the Highway Authority to carry out any ancillary highway maintenance works resulting therefrom.
The Order will come into force on the 18th September 2026 and shall continue in force for a maximum duration of 18 months, or until the works are completed whichever is the sooner, but it is anticipated the works will take 13 nights to complete (working between the hours of 10pm and 6am).
SCHEDULE
B4434 Lletty Daffydd,Clyne will be closed from its junction with Maes Pwll in an easterly direction for a distance of 250m along its length.
The alternative route for vehicular traffic is via the unaffected section of the B4434 Lletty Daffydd, Neath Road and Commercial Road, Resolven.
Access for emergency services and pedestrian access will be maintained.
