(TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2026
The Scottish Borders Council (D82/3 Howden, Jedburgh) (Temporary Closing) Order 2026 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on 18 August 2026 and is expected to remain in effect for a period of two days between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00 each day. The Order is required for BT works. When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along the D82/3 at Howden Farm, Jedburgh.
The alternative route for northbound traffic is via the D82/3, D83/3, C30, A68, C41, DJ53/3 and D82/3 to the point of closure, for southbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing.

(C83 BRAEHEADS ROAD, OXTON)
(TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2026
The Scottish Borders Council (C83 Braeheads Road, Oxton) (Temporary Closing) Order 2026 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on 20 August 2026 and is expected to remain in effect until 21 August 2026 between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00 each day. The Order is required for BT pole replacement works. When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along the C83 at Braeheads Road, Oxton north of The Loan to the D1/5.
The alternative route for southbound traffic is via the C83, A68, C84 and Station Road to the point of closure, for northbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing.

(D43/5 NENTHORN, KELSO)
(TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2026
The Scottish Borders Council (D43/5 Nenthorn, Kelso) (Temporary Closing) Order 2026 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on 17 August 2026 and is expected to remain in effect until 21 August 2026 between the hours of 07:00 and 17:00 each day. The Order is required for Go Fibre works.
When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along the D43/5 at Nenthorn, Kelso.
The alternative route for eastbound traffic is via the D43/5, D42/5, A6089 and D43/5 to the point of closure, for westbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO ADOPT UNADOPTED
SECTIONS OF PARKING AREAS AND SERVICE STRIPS ON
THE DG143-2 ROAD, ABBOTSVIEW DRIVE. GALASHIELS
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that The Scottish Borders Council proposes to Adopt unadopted sections of parking areas and service strips on the DG143-2 Road, Abbotsview Drive, Galashiels under Section 1(4) of the Roads (Scotland) Act 1984 as described in the Schedule below.
A copy of the notice, schedule and accompanying plan showing the sections of the parking areas and service strips to be adopted can be seen at The Scottish Borders Council, Council Headquarters, Newtown St. Boswells. These documents are available for inspection free of charge from Mondays to Thursdays between 9:00am and 5:00pm, on Fridays between 9:00am and 4:00pm and also at the Council’s Contact Centre, Paton Street, Galashiels TD1 3AS during its normal opening hours. Any person may, by 10 September 2026 object to the adoption of the unadopted sections of the parking areas and service strips by notice in writing to the Director of Corporate Governance, Scottish Borders Council, Council Headquarters, Newtown St. Boswells, Melrose, TD6 0SA. Objections should state the name and address of the objector, the matters to which they relate and the grounds on which they are made.
