What is happening?

BUCKINGHAMSHIRE COUNCIL

THE COUNCIL INTENDS TO

(Public Footpath No. 11/1, Parish of Hillesden and Public Footpath No. 10/1, Parish of Steeple Claydon) (Temporary Footpath Closure) Order 2026 under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, which will temporarily prohibit any person from proceeding, except for access, in that length of Public Footpath, commencing at the junction of HIL/FP/12/1 & 11/1, continuing south to the junction of SCL/10/1, SCL/10/2 and SCL/10/3. There is no alternative route. The closure is required in the interest of public safety due to a failed bridge. The Order will come into operation on 28 August 2026, as signed, with a maximum duration of 6 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the soonest.
