Hildesheim Bridge, Weston-super-Mare, North Somerset

Notice is hereby given that the North Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police, intends to install one puffin crossing on Hildesheim Bridge, Weston-super-Mare, North Somerset: 17m east of its junction with Francis Fox roundabout. A copy of the plan together with a Statement of the Council’s Reasons for proposing to make these changes may be viewed at www.n-somerset.gov.uk/tro or at Weston-super-Mare Library, North Somerset Council, Town Hall, Weston-super-Mare BS23 1UJ.

Notice of Temporary Traffic Regulation Order

Notice is hereby given that North Somerset District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, intend to make an order the effect of which:

Montpelier, Weston-super-Mare, North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles and Cyclists

Date coming into force: 26 October 2026

will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles and cyclists the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice.

This order is required because of carriageway resurfacing, kerb and footway works and will become operative on 26 October 2026, anticipated to be of 85 days (excluding weekends) between 8am and 5pm. The works will be carried out in phases, with each location being completed before moving directly to the next. The maximum period for the closure is eighteen months, however, the closure may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works.

Schedule - Phase one: Montpelier from the junction of Montpelier East to the junction of Bristol Road Lower. Phase two: Montpelier from the junction of Trewartha Park to the junction of Montpelier East. Phase three: Montpelier from the junction of Gerard Road to the junction of Trewartha Park. Alternative routes - Phase one: Bristol Road Lower, Montpelier East, Ardor Trewartha Park, Montpelier (part unaffected) and vice-versa. Phase two: Montpelier (part unaffected), Montpelier East and/or Trewartha Park, Hill Road, Milton Road and vice-versa. Phase Three: Montpelier (part unaffected), Trewartha Park, Hill Road and vice-versa.

Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, intend to make an order the effect of which:

Bypass, Stock Lane, Langford, North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2026

Date coming Into Force: 7 October 2026

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road. HGVs turning left for access to Stock Lane will be escorted through the closures.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach to provide overhead cabling. This order will become operative on the 7 October 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 6 hours in duration between 9.30am and 3.30pm. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Footpath AX16/29/10, Congresbury, North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Pedestrians Order 2026

Will be to close, temporarily, to pedestrians the lengths of footpaths specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of footpath.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Allison Homes to enable construction of pumping station, attenuation pond and associated works or investigation for a housing development (subject to any planning consent). This order will become operative on the 26 October 2026 for a maximum period of six months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of at least six months in duration. Appropriate pedestrian traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.
