(WATERMILL AVENUE, FARM PARK, AND MILLARS PLACE,
LENZIE) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE)
ORDER 2026

On 11 August 2026 the East Dunbartonshire Council made the above named Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, which makes it unlawful for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any motor vehicle (with the exception of emergency service vehicles, vehicles engaged in the works and those vehicles requiring access to properties adjacent to the closed section of road when its safe and practical to do so during the works) on the lengths of roads detailed in the Schedule below, by reason of works being executed on or near this road. This Order will operate from 06.00 hours on Sunday, 23 August 2026 until 23.59 hours on Sunday, 06 September 2026. The temporary road closures will be carried out in two phases. The temporary road closures will only come into operation when road closure and diversion route signing is in place.

Alternative routes will be by way of Watermill Avenue, the B819 Lindsaybeg Road and Orchard Field, Lenzie, and these routes will be sign posted.

1.    That section of Watermill Avenue, Lenzie from its junction with the B819 Lindsaybeg Road to the existing turning head facility at the termination of Watermill Avenue.

(TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF ONE-WAY OPERATION)
ORDER 2026

On the 11 August 2026 the East Dunbartonshire Council made the above named Order under Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, which suspends the existing one-way operation on Broadcroft, Kirkintilloch from the extended northeast kerbline of Cowgate north eastwards to the extended southwest kerbline of David Donnelly Place detailed in Schedule 17 of “The East Dunbartonshire Council (Kirkintilloch) (Traffic Management Scheme) Order 2017” for the duration of the Temporary Order. This will allow two way operation of Broadcroft, Kirkintilloch, for the duration of the Temporary Order, controlled by way of banksmen/ event traffic management operatives.

This Order will operate from 01.00 hours on Friday, 21 August 2026 until 06.00 hours on Monday, 24 August 2026.

On 11 August 2026 the East Dunbartonshire Council made the above named Order under Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, which makes it unlawful for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any motor vehicle (with the exception of emergency service vehicles, vehicles engaged in event activities and those vehicles requiring access to properties adjacent to the closed sections of road) on the lengths of roads detailed in the Schedule below, for reasons of public safety and convenience. This Order will be in operation from 01.00 hours on Friday,  21 August 2026 until 06.00 hours on Monday, 24 August 2026.

Available alternative routes will be signposted.

SCHEDULE

1.    Cowgate and West High Street, Kirkintilloch between their respective junctions with Catherine Street and Kerr Street, Kirkintilloch and with Achill Place, Kirkintilloch.

      The alternative routes for vehicles are by way of Catherine Street, Cowgate, Townhead, Parliament Road, the A806 New Lairdsland Road, the A803 Glasgow Road, and West High Street, Kirkintilloch, and these routes will be sign posted.

2.    Union Street, Kirkintilloch between its junction with Cowgate,  Kirkintilloch and its junction with York Place, Kirkintilloch.

      The alternative routes will be sign posted by way of Kerr Street, Oxford Street, Union Street and Washington Road, Kirkintilloch, and these routes will be sign posted.

3.    David Donnelly Place, Kirkintilloch from its junction with Cowgate north-eastwards for a distance of 30 metres or thereby.

     There are no suitable alternative routes available.

4.    Broadcroft, Kirkintilloch between its junction with Cowgate, Kirkintilloch and its junction with David Donnelly Place, Kirkintilloch.

     There are no suitable alternative routes available.

GREENSPACE STRATEGY
ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT (SCOTLAND) ACT 2005
ENVIRONMENTAL REPORT NOTIFICATION UNDER SECTION 16(2)

The Greenspace Strategy has been the subject of the SEA process. This is a systematic process for considering the likely significant environmental impacts of the options and proposals within the Strategy. The findings of the SEA are set out within the corresponding Environmental Report. It is a legislative requirement to prepare this report in accordance with Section 14 of the Environmental Assessment (Scotland) Act 2005.

The Greenspace Strategy along with the corresponding SEA Environmental Report can be viewed online at on the Council webpage (https://www.eastdunbarton.gov.uk/greenspace-strategy) or a physical copy can be requested in person during normal office hours within the Land Planning and Development Offices at Southbank House, Southbank Business Park, Kirkintilloch, G66 1XQ.

The formal period for viewing and commenting on the Strategy and SEA Environmental Report is from Monday 3 August – Friday 25 September

OF PASSAGE TO BE BY PEDAL CYCLE AND FOOT ONLY) ORDER 20xx

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT the East Dunbartonshire Council proposes to make an Order under Sections 1(1) and 152(2) of the Roads (Scotland) Act 1984 to redetermine the means of the public right of passage over the lengths of roads as described in the Schedule hereto.

The title of the proposed order is THE EAST DUNBARTONSHIRE COUNCIL (STATION ROAD, LENNOXTOWN) (REDETERMINATION OF MEANS OF PASSAGE TO BE BY PEDAL CYCLE AND FOOT ONLY) ORDER 20XX.

A copy of the proposed order and the accompanying plan showing the lengths of road over which the means of exercise of the public right of passage is to be redetermined, together with a statement of reasons for proposing to make this Order, are available for inspection without payment of fee:
