What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984- SECTION (14.1)

The council of the London Borough of Enfield intend to make the Temporary Traffic Orders described below.

CUNNINGHAM AVENUE, PRINCES AVENUE EN3

Reason for 14(1) Order – Essential Utility Works

Operational Date and times: “At any time” on 24 August 2026 for 9 days or until works are completed.

The general effect of the Order would be to;

Cunningham Avenue

• Close this road at its junction with Princes Avenue, westwards for approximately 30m and suspend parking, south side between No.s 59-75.

Princes Avenue

• Suspend parking on this road, west side, at its junction with Cunningham Avenue for approximately 20m north

SHARON ROAD EN3

Reason for 14(1) Order – Essential Utility Works

Operational Date and times: “At any time” on 24 August 2026 for 5 days or until works are completed.

The general effect of the Order would be to close this road at a point approximately 35 metres east of its junction with Carterhatch Road, for approximately 30 metres.

QUEEN ANNES GROVE, SUMMERHILL GROVE EN1

Reason for 14(1) Order – Essential Utility Works

Operational Date and times: “At any time” on 24 August 2026 for 5 days or until works are completed.

The general effect of the Order would be to;

Queen Annes Grove

• close this road between No.s 52-56 on both sides of the road

Summerhill Grove

• suspend parking between No. 3 and its junction with Queen Annes Grove on both sides of the road.

WADES HILL, HOUNDSDEN ROAD, HADLEY WAY N21

Reason for 14(1) Order – Essential Utility Works

Operational Date and times: “Between 08:00-18:00 for 1 day” or until works are completed.

The general effect of the Order would be to;

Wades Hill

• close this road southbound from its junction with Houndsden Road and Hadley Way for approximately 55m; and suspend parking from outside No. 114 northbound, for approximately 60m on both sides of the road; and

Houndsden Road

• suspend parking from the side of No. 114 Wades Hill, westbound for approx. 60m on both sides of the road; and

Hadley Way

• suspend parking from outside No. 1, eastbound for approximately 65m on both sides of the road.

SUFFOLK ROAD EN3, HARINGTON TERRACE, KIPLING TERRACE N9, N18

Reason for 14(1) Order – Essential Highway Works

Operational Date and times:

Suffolk Road

“At any time” on 31 August 2026 for 4 weeks or until works are completed.

The general effect of the Order would be to

Suffolk Road

• close this road and suspend parking from its junction with Lincoln Road to outside number No. 29, on both sides of the road; and

Harington Terrace, Kipling Terrace

“At any time” on 26 August 2026 for 3 days or until works are completed.

Harington Terrace, Kipling Terrace

• close this road and suspend parking on both roads on a phased basis on both sides of the roads.

THE BIRCHES, HOLLY HILL N21

Reason for 14(1) Order – Essential Utility Works

Operational Date and times: “Between 08:00-18:00” for 1 day or until works are completed.

The general effect of the Order would be to;

The Birches

• close this road from its junction with Holly Hill to outside No.32; and

Holly Hill

• suspend parking from its junction with The Birches, eastbound for approximately 20m

LINCOLN CRESCENT EN1

Reason for 14(1) Order – Essential Utility Works

Operational Date and times: “At any time” on the 26 August 2026 for 3 days or until works are completed.

The general effect of the Order would be to close this road from a point approximately 100 metres south of its junction with Lincoln Road, westwards, for a distance of approximately 20 metres.

The provisions of the Orders shall apply only at such times and as directed by Traffic signs. Whilst roads are closed local diversions would be in place and access would be maintained only as far as the works allow for more information contact 0208 379 2039 or email NRSWA@enfield.gov.uk
