ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1) & 15(2)

Jupp Road & Station Street E15 – RG Group

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER, 2026

1. The NEWHAM LONDON BOROUGH COUNCIL, hereby gives notice that it intends to make an Order – Jupp Road & Station Street E15 (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic), Order 2026. The general effect of which will be to prohibit pedestrian traffic from proceeding or waiting on the public highway.
2. The Order will be made to enable RG Group and its contractors to carry out construction works on or near the highway.
3. The prohibition for the footbridge between Station Street and Jupp Road applies from Tuesday 1st September 2026 until Monday 1st March 2027 or on completion of the works, whichever is the sooner.
4. The prohibition for the roads mentioned in schedule 1 below applies from Tuesday 1st September 2026 until Tuesday 1st February 2028 or on completion of works whichever is the sooner.
5. The general effect of which will be to close the roads/ footpath listed in schedule 1 below at such times the when appropriate traffic signs are displayed in accordance with the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016(c).
6. Vehicular and pedestrian access will be prohibited when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed in accordance with the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016(c).
7. This Order will not apply to vehicles used by the Emergency Services, or in connection with the works, provided that the road space is available.
