What is happening?

FOOTPATH CLOSURE EXTENSION
PUBLIC FOOTPATHS NO.28 (PART) AND NO.29 (PART) WHALEY BRIDGE
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Order made by Derbyshire County Council on 12th February 2026 under Section 14 of The Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) the effect of which was to close Public Footpath No.28 from Reservoir Road to its jct. with footpath No.29. Close Public Footpath No.29 from SK007808 to where it meets footpath No.32, has been further continued.
No alternative route is recommended.
The footpath will be closed until 30th November 2026 or until the works are completed, whichever is the sooner, to facilitate public safety during construction works at Toddbrook Reservoir. Derbyshire County Council apologise for any inconvenience caused during the duration of the closure.
