TRAFFIC CALMING
SCHEME ASHGROVE
ROAD, NEWTOWNABBEY
Notice is hereby given that under ‘Article 65’ of the ‘Roads
(Northern Ireland) Order 1993’ the Department for
Infrastructure proposes the installation of traffic calming
measures on Ashgrove Road, Newtownabbey to control the
speed of traffic.
The works will consist of:
Installation:
• 1 Flat top road hump 5m long, tapered 7.4m wide and
80mm high
• 1 No of twin speed cushions 3.1m long, 1.9m and 75mm
high
• 1 Flat top road hump 4.5m long, tapered 11.1 wide and
80mm high
• 2 Flat top road humps 4.5m long, tapered 11m wide and
80mm high
• 1 Flat top road hump 4m long, tapered 8.6m wide and
80mm high
As indicated in drawing TC-2601-1
All road humps will be constructed in accordance with The
‘Road Humps Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1999’. All road
markings and signage will be in accordance with the ‘Traffic
Signs Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1997’.
Full details showing the proposed road layout may be
inspected free of charge during office hours within the period
below at DfI Roads Northern Division, Network Traffic, 182
Galgorm Road, County Hall, Ballymena BT42 1QG.
Access to this building is limited and inspection of the traffic
calming proposal is by appointment only which can be
arranged either by email using

during office hours (Monday to Friday 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.)

TEMPORARY ROAD
CLOSURE
B0099 WATERFALL ROAD /
B0099 WATCH HILL ROAD.
Road Traffic Regulation (NI) Order 1997 Article 7
Notice is hereby given that the B0099 Waterfall Road /
B0099 Watch Hill Road Larne, will be closed continuously to
vehicular traffic from B0100 Ballyrickard Road to the junction
of B0058 New line Road, commencing 07:30 hrs on
Monday 10th August 2026 to 18:00 hrs on Friday
11th September 2026.
Diversions will be signed via A0008 BELFAST ROAD, A0008
LARNE ROAD, A0008 BALLYNURE ROAD, B0059 DOAGH
ROAD, B0090 OLD CARRICK ROAD, B0090 UPPER
ROAD, B0090 MIDDLE ROAD, and vice versa.
The purpose of the closure is to facilitate Carriageway
Resurfacing for DFI Roads.
