TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
ASHGATE ROAD, CHESTERFIELD
WHEN: 03 September to 10 September 2026 (09:30 to 15:00 each day)
WHERE: Ashgate Road, Chesterfield between the Jct. with the B6150 Woodside interchange to the Jct. with Woodnook Lane.
REASON: To facilitate carriageway surface dressing and associated works.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: B6150 Slack Lane, Old Road, B6150 Storrs Road, A619 Chatsworth Road / Baslow Road, B6050 Top Lane, Chesterfield Road, Old Brampton Road, Stonelow, Unnamed Road from junction with B6050 to Main Road Wigley, Main Road, Hollins, Hemming Green, Main Road, Ashgate Road and vice versa. Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised. Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190. The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
