Viking Road, Bridlington - Temporary Traffic Regulation

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
SECTION 14 (1) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION
OF THROUGH TRAFFIC
PART OF VIKING ROAD, BRIDLINGTON

Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire
Council intends not less than seven days from the date
of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which
will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along
part of Viking Road, Bridlington from its junction with
Wheatley Drive north along Wheatley Drive and
right on to Maple Road then right on to Viking Road
commencing 9 September 2026 at 09.30 hours until
11 September 2026 at 15.30 hours to allow for the
clearance of two blockages and for ducting works.
The road closure is necessary to enable the works to
be carried out in a manner consistent with ensuring
the safety of the public. The Order is valid for 18
months, but it is anticipated that the works will be
completed within three days. The alternative route for
traffic affected by the road closure will be via Viking
Road, Maple Road and Wheatley Drive, Bridlington CP,
Bridlington North Ward. The diversion route will be
signed at the time of closure. The road will be closed
to all through traffic but access will be maintained for
residents, emergency vehicles and pedestrians.
