VARIOUS STREETS, GRIMSBY
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC - TTRO (26-152) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the North East Lincolnshire Borough Council intends to make, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, an Order, the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any motor vehicle, pedestrian or cycle from PROCEEDING along the below sections of highway:

• A16 PEAKS PARKWAY - From a starting point, with it's a roundabout junction with A16 LOUTH ROAD, in a north direction, for a distance of 2140 metres (2.14 km). Alternative route: Weelsby Road, Scartho Road, Louth Road, A16 Louth Road (reverse route applies). 

• A16 LOUTH ROAD - From a starting point, with its round about junction with A16 PEAK PARKSWAY, in a south westerly direction, for a distance of 1370 metres (1.37 km). Alternative route: A1098 Hewitts Avenue, Peaks lane, Station Road, A16 Louth Road (reverse route applies).

• A1098 HEWITTS AVENUE - From a starting point, with its round about junction with A16 PEAKS PARKWAY, in a south westerly direction, for a distance of 525 metres. Alternative route: Peaks Lane, Station Road, A16 Louth Road (reverse route applies).

Closure will start 06:00 on 23rd August 2026 until 18:00 23 rd August 2026,the above roads will be only be shut one at a time during this period.

• FIELDHOUSE ROAD - FULL EXTENT
Alternative route: North Sea Lane, Church Avenue, Midfield Road (reverse route applies).
Closure will start 06:00 on 24th August 2026 until 18:00 24th August 2026.

This temporary prohibition is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road by North East Lincolnshire Council. These works are detailed as road preservation treatment.

The order will come into operation on Sunday, 23 August 2026, and will continue in force for a period not exceeding 18 months unless extended for a further period by the Secretary of State for transport, or until completion of the works (whichever is the earlier). The closure is expected to remain in place until Monday, 24 August 2026. Definitive dates and times will be notified with on-site advanced warning signs.
