What is happening?

LONDON BOROUGH OF EALING
NOTICE OF INTENT TO CREATE A TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ORDER FOR PLANNED WORKS AFFECTING: VARIOUS ROADS, ACTON.

Ealing Council intends to make the following temporary traffic order under section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:

Title of order
This order can be referred to as: Temporary traffic order for planned works - TT 5302 Various Roads, Acton - 2026.

Reason for order
This order is needed to allow for works taking place on or near the road.
These works involve Clancy Group on behalf of (SSE) Scottish & Southern Energy laying new power cables.

Effect of order

1. This order will implement temporary road closures, banned turns and cycle lane closures and will be carried out in works phases as outlined in page 2 “Schedule to this order”.

2. The following temporary restrictions on vehicle movements will take effect from 14th September 2026.

(a) No entry into the fully closed section(s) where scheduled restrictions are implemented.

(b) No waiting, loading, or unloading on either side of the carriageway within the fully closed section. No turning where road signs direct vehicular traffic.

(c) Prohibited turns for vehicular traffic will be implemented (refer to schedule).

3. The above temporary restrictions and prohibitions will only apply at specified locations where appropriate traffic signs are provided and displayed in accordance with Chapter 8 of the Traffic Signs Manual.

4. While the temporary restrictions are in place, displaced vehicles should follow the diversions displayed in place to reach their destinations and comply with any traffic management measures.

5. This Order does not apply to:

(a) anything done at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a police community support officer (PCSO).

(b) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance.

Date order will come into force.
14th September 2026

Maximum duration of order
This order will expire on 13th March 2028, or, on completion of the works, which is expected to be 18th December 2026, whichever is sooner.

These works are indicative and subject to weather and unforeseen works delays.

Phase 1.

14/09/26 to 30/10/26

This order will close North Acton Road from its junction with Harold Road NW10 7AY to Minerva Road NW10 6QH.

Phase 2.

23/10/26 to 13/11/26

Chase Road will be closed from its Junction with Cunard Road and Roundabout junction with Volt Avenue Bago House, NW10 6PT.

Phase 3.

16/11/26 to 18/12/26

Chase Road will be closed from north of its junction with Dephna Kitchens and Jat Glass NW10 6QN to Junction with Sunbeam Road.

Phase 4.

14/09/26 to 03/10/26

Victoria Road A4000 cycleway closed from junction with A40 opposite Horn Lane to the junction with Park Royal Road. And the cycle lane on the Eastern extremity on the footway in the same area as above.

Phase 5.

28/09/26 to 23/10/26

This order will close one lane on Alliance Road and prohibits the left turn from Western Avenue slip road down to end of Ealing ownership on Alliance Road at its southern extremity.

Phase 6.

19/10/2026 to 13/11/2026

Cycle lane Closure in Alliance Road on its southern extremity. Southern footway - 19/10/26 - 13/11/26.
