Rubery - Permanent Stopping Up of Highway to Enable Development

The Secretary of State gives notice of an Order made under Section 247 of the above Act entitled "The Stopping up of Highway (West Midlands) (No.16) Order 2026" authorising the stopping up of an irregular shaped western part width of highway (known historically as 'Fordrough') off Leybrook Road, Rubery in the City of Birmingham. This is to enable development as permitted by Birmingham City Council under reference 2025/06680/PA.
Copies of the Order may be obtained, free of charge, from the Secretary of State, Transport Infrastructure Planning Casework Unit, PO Box 1393, Newcastle Upon Tyne, NE99 5FQ or nationalcasework@dft.gov.uk (quoting SUO2066093). They may also be inspected during normal opening hours at Rubery Post Office, 126 New Road, Rubery, Birmingham B45 9HY
Any person who wishes to challenge the validity of the decision to make the Order may apply to the High Court within 6 weeks from 12 August 2026.
