(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC - TTRO (26-064) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the North East Lincolnshire Borough Council intends to make, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, an Order, the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any motor vehicle, pedestrian or cycle from PROCEEDING along the below sections of highway:
• A18 BARTON STREET - Starting from a point 540 metres from its junction with RIBY ROAD, in a south easterly direction, for a distance of 14,000 metres (1.4km). Alternative route: A46 Grimsby Road, Laceby Road, Weelsby Road, A16 Peaks Parkway, A16 Louth Road, Ludborough Bypass, Pear Tree Lane, A18 Lincoln gate, A18 barton Street (reverse route applies).
Phased closure will start 07:30 on 07th September 2026 until 17:00 02nd of October 2026.
This temporary prohibition is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road by North East Lincolnshire Council. These works are detailed as highway maintenance.
The order will come into operation on Monday, 07 September 2026, and will continue in force for a period not exceeding 18 months unless extended for a further period by the Secretary of State for transport, or until completion of the works (whichever is the earlier).
The closure is expected to remain in place until Friday, 02 October 2026. Definitive dates and times will be notified with on-site advanced warning signs.
