NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Trafford Borough Council has made the above-named Order under Sections (1), (2) and (9) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any motor vehicle, except for permit holders, from proceeding along the length of Victoria Road, Timperley between Alexandra Drive and its cul-de-sac end, Monday to Friday between 08:15 to 09:15 and 14:45 to 15:45.
The Experimental Order will come into operation on 1st September 2026, for a period of 18 months.
BOROUGH OF TRAFFORD (VICTORIA ROAD, TIMPERLEY) (20 M.P.H. SPEED LIMIT) (EXPERIMENTAL) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Trafford Borough Council has made the above-named Order under Sections (1), (2) and (9) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order will be to impose a 20 m.p.h. speed limit on the length of Victoria Road, Timperley, between Alexandra Drive and its cul-de-sac end.
The Experimental Order will come into operation on 1st September 2026, for a period of 18 months.
Copies of the Experimental Orders, together with a statement of reason and a map showing the length of road referred to, may be inspected at the main reception desk at Altrincham Library during the normal opening hours and online at www.trafford.gov.uk/trafficregulationorders Within a period of 6 months from the coming into force of the Orders, or if the Orders are subsequently modified or varied, from the coming into operation of that modification or the variation (whichever is the latest), any person may object to the making of the Orders for the purposes of such indefinite continuation.
Any objections to the proposals, together with the grounds on which they are made, must be sent, in writing, to the address below or to Traffordtraffic@amey.co.uk.
The Council will be considering, in due course, whether the provisions of the Orders should be continued in force indefinitely.
