What is happening?
Somerset Council Parish of South Petherton Temporary Closure of Prigg Lane
Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along: Prigg Lane - from the junction with St James Street, northwards for a total distance of 77 metres. This Order will enable Building Craftsmen (Yeovil) to rebuild St James’s Car Park wall on behalf of the Parish Council.
The Order becomes effective on 26th August 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 1st September 2026 and last until 25th September 2026 between the hours of 00:00 - 23:59 for a total of 25 days.
