NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF PUBLIC PATH ORDER

HIGHWAYS ACT 1980

THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (MANSFIELD FOOTPATH NO. 56) PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER 2026

On the 5th day of August 2026 the Nottinghamshire County Council confirmed the above order made under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980.

The effect of the Order as confirmed is to divert the public right of way commencing from SK 5098 6404 proceeding in a north-easterly direction through a hedge-line and kissing gate to SK 5098 6404 then in a north-north-westerly direction to SK 5097 6405 and finally in a south-westerly direction to SK 5097 6405. Running for a distance of approximately 24 metres on a grass and earth surface with a width of 2 metres as described in the Order and as shown on the Order Plan and also provide for the consequential amendment of the Nottinghamshire Definitive Map and Statement.

A copy of the Order as confirmed and the Order Map may be seen free of charge at my Office at the address below between the hours of 9.00 am and 4.30 pm Mondays to Fridays inclusive and at Mansfield District Council Offices, Civic Centre, Chesterfield Road South, Mansfield, NG19 7BH and Mansfield Central Library, Four Seasons Centre, West Gate, Mansfield NG18 1NH during their respective opening hours until 23rd day of September 2026. Copies of the Order and Map may be purchased from my Office at the address below at a cost of £5 per copy. In addition, a copy will be available for inspection on-line on the County Council website:-

This Order comes into force on 12th day of August 2026 but if any person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity or that of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act, as amended, has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may, under Paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by Paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within 6 weeks from 12th day of August 2026 make an application for the purpose to the High Court.
