TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026 HOLME ROAD
ROUNDABOUT, MARKET WEIGHTON
East Riding of Yorkshire Council has made an Order the
effect of which is to prohibit any person from causing
any vehicle to proceed/from proceeding along Holme
Road Roundabout, Market Weighton commencing
31 August 2026 until 14 October 2026 between
19.00 hours until 00.00 hours, Monday to Friday.
The reason for the closure is to enable the proposed
resurfacing and rekerbing works, to be carried out and
completed in a manner consistent with ensuring the
safety of the public. It is anticipated that the works will
be completed by 14 October 2026.
The alternative route for traffic affected by the Order
is via A1079 Giant Bradley Way, A1079 Sancton Road
Roundabout, A1079 Arras Hill, A1079 York Road,
A1079 Beverley Road, A1079/A1035 Killingwoldgraves
Roundabout, A1035 Dog Kennel Lane, A1035 Dog
Kennel Lane Roundabout, B1248 Malton Road, B1248
Etton Dikes, B1248 Moor Hill, B1248 road from Heater
Corner to Cow Bridge, B1248 road from Heater

The road will be closed to all through traffic but access
will be maintained for emergency vehicles and for
residents only on the Oak Road development and for
pedestrians.
The Order will commence 31 August 2026 and
continue in force for a period not exceeding
eighteen months or until the works which it is
proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever
