ORDER 2026
NOTICE is hereby given that Luton Borough Council, the Highway Authority for the said Borough, intends to make the above Order under the relevant provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).
The Order will come into operation on Saturday 30th August 2026 and cease to be in operation after Monday 31st August 2026, or when the proposed street parties have finished, whichever is the earlier. The Order will be in operation in each road during such date and time and to such extent as indicated by traffic signs, barriers or cones.
The effect of the Order will allow the temporary closure to traffic various lengths of roads in the Schedule below. The Order is intended to create a window for street parties to take place and it is anticipated that the street parties will take place over a period within the dates described as below.
The purpose of the Order is to enable safe passage of highway users partaking in the street parties to take place. Details of road closures and diversions can be found at

Access will be maintained as best as possible to properties where this may be done safely.
