Kings Road (D5520) Haslemere
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2026

On 7 August 2026, Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Kings Road (D5520) Haslemere as extends from the access for Canvas Court to the common boundary of 32 and 34 Kings Road.

Alternative route – B2131 (Wey Hill and Lower Street), A286 (Lower Street, High Street (clockwise only), Lower Street (clockwise only), Shepherds Hill and Midhurst Road) and A287 (Bell Road and Sturt Road), or this route in reverse. This Order is required to enable Thames Water to facilitate leak repairs and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 25 August 2026 for 3 days between the hours of 9.30am and 23.59pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation for 24-hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, pedestrians, dismounted cyclists and dismounted equestrians will be maintained at all times. Access for residents will be maintained either side of but not through the works site.

Moor Park Lane (D5325) Farnham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

On 7 August 2026, Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Moor Park Lane (D5325) Farnham as extends from its junction with Moor Park Way (D5325) to its junction with Compton Way (D5325).

Alternative route – Compton Way, Crooksbury Road, Camp Hill, B3001 (Waverley Lane) and Moor Park Way, or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to enable SGN to facilitate gas main replacement and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 24 August 2026 for 1 month between the hours of 7.00am and 5.00pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation for 24-hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, resident, pedestrians, dismounted cyclists and dismounted equestrians will be maintained at all times.

Echo Barn Lane (B3384) and Shortheath Road (B3384) Wrecclesham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

On 7 August 2026, Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Echo Barn Lane (B3384) and Shortheath Road (B3384) Wrecclesham as extends from the junction of Echo Barn Lane with Sandrock Hill Road (D5301) to the access for Ladywood Court.

Alternative route – B3384 (Shortheath Road and Ridgway Road), A287 (Frensham Road, Farnham Road, Churt Road, Crossways, Churt Road and Tilford Road), A333 (Portsmouth Road), B3002 (Headley Road, Grayshott Road, Beech Hill, Fullers Vale, Mill Lane, Headley Road, Lindford Road and Farnham Road) and A325 (Farnham Road, Forge Road, Farnham Road and Wrecclesham Hill), or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to enable the Council to facilitate carriageway surface dressing works and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible during the 18-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 28 August 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, pedestrians, dismounted cyclists and dismounted equestrians will be maintained at all times.

Old Lane (D120) Farnham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Old Lane (D120) Farnham as extends from its junction with The Street (C26) to the access for “Temple Pool”.

Alternative route – High Thicket Road and The Street, or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to enable Barr Engineering Services to facilitate pole replacement and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 11 September 2026 for 1 day between the hours of 8.00am and 6.00pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times.

Star Hill (D125) Churt
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Star Hill (D125) Churt as extends from its junction with (D125) Simmondstone Lane to its junction with the access to the properties known as “La Terre”, “Mayrose Barn” and “Larchwood House”. Alternative Route – Star Hill; Lampard Lane; A287 Churt Road; and Star Hill or this same route in reverse. This 12-month Temporary Traffic Order which commences on 04 September 2026 is required to facilitate overhead cabling works and/or any other associated works to be carried out by, or on behalf of BT Openreach within the length of road described in this notice. These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible over 1 day between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will operate only when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for Residents within the closure area, the emergency services, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times via operatives on site, all other traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route.

A287 Firgrove Hill, Farnham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles, including cyclists, from entering or proceeding in that length of A287 Firgrove Hill, Farnham which extends from its junction with Abbey Street to its junction with Old Farnham Lane. This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to carry out carriageway dressing/pre-patching works and/or major maintenance works, which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 3 September 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so and if necessary via the signed diversion route. Access for pedestrians will be permitted by the gatemen when safe to do so. Access for cyclists will not be maintained and will be required to follow the signed diversion route/directed by the gatemen on-site. Alternative Route 1 – A287 Bridge Square, A287 Longbridge, A287 Downing Street, A287 The Borough, A287 South Street, B3001 South Street, B3001 Station Hill, C28 Tilford Road and C122 Great Austins. Alternative Route 2 – C122 Great Austins, C28 Tilford Road, B3001 Station Hill, B3001 South Street, B287 Union Road, A287 Longbridge and A287 Bridge Square.

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

The Surrey County Council Public Footpath No. 79 (Farnham) Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026 was made on the grounds of public safety due to works being undertaken on or near the highway. The Order came into operation on 13 July 2026. It was due to expire on 13 August 2026 but has now been continued in force by the Secretary of State for Transport until 27 August 2026 or until the completion of the works, whichever is earlier.

The Order as continued prohibits all traffic on foot or by any other means from entering or proceeding in that length of Public Footpath 79 (Farnham) from grid ref: 485452 146650 heading north-east for approximately 187 metres to grid ref: 485552 146802.

The prohibition described above will only be operative while the County Council, or an authorised person acting on its behalf, displays signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2002 (S.I. 2002 No. 3113) prohibiting the said movements. Access to properties will not be affected.

The alternative route for traffic from grid ref 485452 146650 will be to head South on Old Compton Lane for 50 metres, then head north on Lynch Road for 120 metres then continue to follow Lynch Road west for 232 metres. Then head north on Broomleaf Road for 188 metres. Then follow Public Footpath 211 (Farnham) north-east for 130 metres. Then follow Public footpath 80 (Farnham) generally south-east for 246 metres. Then head south on Public Footpath 79 (Farnham) for 132 metres to grid ref: 485552 146802. The alternative route for traffic from grid ref: 485552 146802 will be the reverse of that described above.
