PETERBOROUGH) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF
TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited (Company No. 9346363) intends to make an order on the A1 Trunk Road, at Wothorpe, in the City of Peterborough, due to the likelihood of danger whilst there is increased traffic during Burghley Horse Trials. The effect of the Order will be to close the link road leading from the southbound carriageway of the A1 to
the A1175 Kettering Road, at Wothorpe. The closure is expected to be in operation between 05:00 hours and 13:00 hours on Saturday 5 September 2026. The Order will come into force on 31 August 2026. Vehicles being used for police, fire and rescue authority or ambulance purposes will be exempt from the closure. A diversion route via the B1081 will be signed.
