TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE (HALSEY STREET) 2026
The Council of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea give notice that they intend to make a Temporary Traffic Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Schedule 1 Section 14 (1)(a) and all other enabling powers prohibiting motorised vehicles from proceeding or waiting in roads cited below.
Halsey Street the northern footway outside of number 14 to outside of number 20.
The footway is to be closed to pedestrians for development works.
The restrictions will come into force from 09.00hrs on Monday 24th August 2026 until 17.00hrs on Friday 4th September 2026, with backup dates of Monday 31st August 2026 until Thursday 10th September 2026, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Pedestrians are to be diverted to the other footway.
Access will be maintained for residents and occupiers.
Nothing in this Order shall apply to:
• anything done with the permission of, or at the direction of, a police constable in uniform.
• anything done in connection with the execution of said works.
