SOUTH AYRSHIRE COUNCIL
(Alder Bank, Ayr - Forehill) (Temporary Road Closure & Prohibition of Waiting) Order 2026
On 06 August 2026 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (South Ayrshire Council) Designation Order 2012 and the Road Traffic Act 1991 and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order to allow Scottish Power Works.
Road Closure – Alder Bank
From Outside no.47 to no.59 Alder Bank (70m).
No Waiting At Any Time – Alder Bank
From Outside no.47 to no.59 Alder Bank (70m) both sides of carriageway.
The Order commences on 26 August 2026 and has a maximum duration of 18 months or until the works are completed, whichever is earlier. The works are expected to commence from 26 August 2026 at 08:00 until 08 September 2026 at 17:00.
The days and times of the works may be dependent upon the weather conditions but the Order restrictions will be implemented only when the appropriate signs are displayed.
Access for Emergency Services, residents and deliveries out-with the working zone will be maintained via diversion route.
An alternative route for Shavin Brae, Hillfoot Road, Masonhill Road and vice versa.

(C8, Craigie) (Temporary Road Closure & Prohibition of Waiting) Order 2026
On 06 August 2026 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (South Ayrshire Council) Designation Order 2012 and the Road Traffic Act 1991 and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order to allow Carriageway Resurfacing.
Temporary Road Closure – C8, Craigie
From Junction at U80 Main Street to No. 4 High Langside Holdings.
No Waiting At Any Time - C8, Craigie
From Junction at U80 Main Street to No. 4 High Langside Holdings both sides of carriageway.
The Order commences on 24 August 2026 and has a maximum duration of 18 months or until the works are completed, whichever is earlier. The works are expected to commence from 24 August 2026 at 08:00 until 04 September 2026 at 17:00.
The road is expected to be closed between 08:00 and 17:00 each day with it being open out-with these times.
The days and times of the works may be dependent upon the weather conditions but the Order will be implemented only when the appropriate signs are displayed.
Emergency Services access will not be affected and access for residents, deliveries and pedestrians’ out-with the working zone will be maintained whenever possible and safe to do so.
An alternative route will be signed via U80 Main Street, B730, C92, C8 and vice versa.

(U85, Ayr) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2026
On 06 August 2026 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order,to allow BT Works.
Temporary Road Closure – U85, Ayr
U85 - From a Point 68m East of junction with A77 to No.18 Newbarns for 2.2km.
The Order commences on 25 August 2026 and has a maximum duration of 18 months or until the works are completed, whichever is earlier. The works are expected to commence from 25 August 2026 at 08:00 until 05 September 2026 at 18:00.
The road is expected to be closed between 08:00 and 17:00 each day with it being open out-with these times.
The days and times of the works may be dependent upon the weather conditions but the Order will be implemented only when the appropriate signs are displayed.
Emergency Services access will not be affected and access for residents, deliveries and pedestrians will be maintained.
An alternative route - No suitable diversion. Access to be maintained at all times with an operative at both closure points to provide access.

(Oswald Place, Ayr - Newton On Ayr) (Temporary Road Closure & Prohibition of Waiting) Order 2026
On 06 August 2026 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (South Ayrshire Council) Designation Order 2012 and the Road Traffic Act 1991 and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order to allow Scottish Power Works.

From junction with Marchfield Quadrant to junction with Woodfield Avenue for 144m

The Order commences on 25 August 2026 and has a maximum duration of 18 months or until the works are completed, whichever is earlier. The works are expected to commence from 25 August 2026 at 08:00 until 01 September 2026 at 23:59.
The days and times of the works may be dependent upon the weather conditions but the Order restrictions will be implemented only when the appropriate signs are displayed.
Access for Emergency Services will not be affected.
Access for residents and deliveries out-with the working zone will be maintained via diversion route.
An alternative route for Marchfield Quadrant, Oswald Road, Woodfield Avenue will be signed.
