What is happening?

NOTICE OF INTENT TO CREATE A TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ORDER FOR PLANNED WORKS
AFFECTING: STIRLING ROAD, ACTON.
Ealing Council intends to make the following temporary traffic order under section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:
Title of order
This order can be referred to as: Temporary traffic order for planned works - TT 5322 Stirling Road, Acton - 2026.
Reason for order
This order is needed to allow for works taking place on or near the road. These works involve HG Construction Ltd redeveloping a new site for accommodation and retail units.
Effect of order
1. Waiting, loading and unloading restrictions will be temporarily implemented at the following locations on Stirling Road
a) 3 marked parking bays along the northern kerb line 10 metres west of the junction with Colville Road & 1 marked parking bay 15 metres west of the junction with Colville Road will have no parking waiting, loading & unloading restrictions in force.
2. The waiting, loading or unloading of vehicles on the extent of Stirling Road, to which the prohibitions and restrictions apply at any time from 7th September 2026 ending 15th May 2027, will be enforced with the issue of a Penalty Charge Notice.
3. The above temporary restrictions and prohibitions will only apply at specified locations where appropriate traffic signs are provided and displayed in accordance with Chapter 8 of the Traffic Signs Manual.
4. While the temporary restrictions are in place, displaced vehicles must comply with any traffic management measures.
5. This Order does not apply to:
(a) anything done at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a police community support officer (PCSO).
(b) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance.
Date order will come into force.
7th September 2026
Maximum duration of order
This order will expire on 6th March 2028 or, on completion of the works, which is expected to be 15th May 2027, whichever is sooner.
