NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER HIGHWAYS ACT 1980 SECTION 119(B)

(UPPINGHAM COMMUNITY COLLEGE)
FOOTPATH NO. E306 (PART) DIVERSION ORDER 2026

On the 15 th July 2026 Rutland County Council District Council confirmed the above order made under Section 119(b) of the Highways Act 1980.
The effect of the Order as confirmed is to divert the part of the public footpath number E306 (Uppingham Community College), where it commences at Point A on the order map at Ordnance Survey National Grid Reference SP86949885, running generally east to Point B on the order map at Ordnance Survey National Grid Reference SP87029884, running generally south to Point C on the order map at Ordnance Survey National Grid Reference SP86999866 running generally west to point D on the order map at Ordnance Survey National Grid Reference SP86899869 and then continuing on the original unaffected footpath, as shown by a bold dashed horizontal black line. The width of the public footpath shall be two metres.
A copy of the Order and the Order map as confirmed may be seen free of charge at Rutland County Council Customer Services, Catmose House, Catmos Street, Oakham, Rutland from 9.00am to 5.00pm Monday and Friday.
This Order came into force on the 15 th July 2026 but if any person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity or that of any provision contained within it on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act, as amended, or any regulation made under the Act, as amended, has not be complied with in relation to the Order, they may within 6 weeks of the date of this notice apply to the High Court for that purpose.
