Lumns Lane - Temporary Road Traffic Regulation Order
What is happening?
The Council of the City of Salford intends to make in no less than 7 days under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984: SALFORD CITY COUNCIL (LUMNS LANE) TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2026.
The Order will introduce a road closure on Lumns Lane, between Sandywood Industrial Estate and Lumns Lane Household Waste and Recycling Centre, Swinton, M27 8LH. The Order is necessary for gully maintenance works, kerb replacements and clearing of debris to help alleviate flooding. The order is due to come into operation on Sunday 6th September 2026 and will last for a period of 18 months or until the works are completed if earlier.
The works are expected to be completed by Friday 25th September 2026. The diversion routes are via Agecroft Road - Bolton Road - Queensway - Rake Lane - Lumns Lane, vice versa.
