What is happening?

MEADOWBANK ROAD, CARDIGAN ROAD, ROSLYN ROAD, MORRIS ROAD, HAMLYN DRIVE & ANLABY ROAD
(20 ZONE SPEED LIMIT AND PARKING AND WAITING REVIEW) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Kingston upon Hull City Council proposes to make an Order under Sections 1, 2(1) to (3), 4(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and in pursuance of powers granted by the Secretary of State under Section 74 and Part 2 of Schedule 8 and under Paragraph 8 of Schedule 9 of the Traffic Management Act 2004.
The effect of the Order will be to implement a new 20mph Zones on Meadowbank Road, Cardigan Road, Roslyn Road, Morris Road and Hamlyn Drive. It will also introduce a new No Waiting At Any Time Restrictions on Meadowbank Road and Anlaby Road, remove No Waiting At Any Time Restrictions from parts of Morris Road and introduce a new loading bay on Anlaby Road.
The purpose of the Order is to improve road safety and improve the amenity of the area by encouraging drivers of vehicles to travel at an appropriate speed, improve safety for persons accessing and egressing the public highway and to maintain access to cycling facilities
A copy of the draft Order, the relevant plan and a statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order are available for inspection during normal office hours at the General Reception Area, The Kingston upon Hull City Council, The Guildhall, Kingston upon Hull, HU1 2AA.

If you wish to object or make any representations to the proposed Order, you should write to Legal Services at Kingston upon Hull City Council, The Guildhall, Kingston upon Hull. HU1 2AA (ref: FO/39800-1534), specifying the grounds on which your objection or representation is made, by no later than 31st day of September 2026.
