Parish of Hazlemere) Definitive Map Modification Order 2025

The above Order made on 1 May 2025, under Section 53 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 was confirmed by Buckinghamshire Council on 27 July 2026. The effect of the Order as confirmed is to modify the definitive map and statement for the area by adding to them the footpaths shown on the Order map as follows: From SU88385-95447, SW for 15m to SU88375-95436, then WSW for 172m to SU88207-95402, then WNW for 64m to SU88145-95409, and then SSE for 333m to SU88284-95147. From SU88211-95111, ENE for 227m to SU88422-95185, then NNW for 254m to SU88375-95436. From SU88203-95425, S for 205m to SU88232-95224, then SSW for 116m to SU88211-95111. From SU88225-95320, SSE for 198m to SU88306-95140. From SU88203-95425, SE for 223m to SU88322-95240. From SU88287-95331, ESE for 125m to SU88409-95310. From SU88202-95238, ENE for 205m to SU88403-95277, then SE for 18m to SU88417-95265, then SW for 13m to SU88407-95256, and then WSW for 206m to SU88206-95219. From SU88176-95323, SE for 7m to SU88181-95318, then SW for 6m to SU88179-95313, then ENE for 214m to SU88390-95348, then NE for 14m to SU88401-95358, then NW for 15m to SU88387-95364, and then WSW for 214m to SU88176-95323, as shown by a bold broken line on the Order map and having a width of 2m throughout.

Copies of the Order and map may be purchased from the Council at a cost of £5.00 by writing to the Definitive Map and Highway Searches Team, Buckinghamshire Council, Walton Street Offices, Walton Street, Aylesbury, HP20 1UA or email row@buckinghamshire.gov.uk. The Order came into force on 27 July 2026, but if a person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of Section 53 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, as amended, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act, or on the ground that any requirement of Schedule 15 to the Act, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may, under paragraph 12 of Schedule 15 to the Act, within six weeks from 7 August 2026 make an application to the High Court.

The Council intends The Buckinghamshire Council (Public Footpath No. 149/1, Parish of High Wycombe) (Temporary Footpath Closure) Order 2026 under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, which will temporarily prohibit any person from proceeding, except for access, in that length of Public Footpath commencing at the junction of HWU/71(F)/1 and HWU/149/1 continuing east for approx. 135M. Alternative route is via existing public highway network.

The closure is required to enable development and maintaining power to the Wycombe Hospital. The Order will come into operation on 14 August 2026, as signed, with a maximum duration of 6 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the soonest.
