On 6 August 2026 Shropshire Council made an order to introduce the following parking restrictions on Shrewsbury Road, Church Stretton:
No Waiting or Loading At Any Time
Shrewsbury Road (east side)
From a point 32 metres north of its junction with Churchill Road to a point 20 metres north of the northern property boundary of no. 50 Shrewsbury Road, Church Stretton.
Shrewsbury Road (east side)
From a point 71 metres north of the northern property boundary of no. 50 Shrewsbury Road, Church Stretton to a point 92 metres north of that same boundary.
Shrewsbury Road (east side)
From a point 118 metres north the northern property boundary of no. 50 Shrewsbury Road, Church Stretton to a point 121 metres north of that same boundary.
Shrewsbury Road (east side)
From a point 1 metre south of the property boundary of no. 63 and no. 65 Shrewsbury Road to a point 13 metres north of that same boundary.
Shrewsbury Road (west side)
From a point 75 m north of its junction with Carding Mill Valley to a point 13 metres north of the property boundary of no. 63 and no. 65 Shrewsbury Road.

From a point 20 metres north of the northern property boundary of no. 50 Shrewsbury Road, Church Stretton to a point 71 metres north of that same boundary.

(SPEED LIMITS) (PART 3) ORDER 2008 (AMENDMENT NO. 1)
ORDER 2026
On 6 August 2026 Shropshire Council made an order to introduce a 20mph speed limit onto the following length of road in Church Stretton:
20mph Speed Limit
B5477 Shrewsbury Road
From a point 42 metres south of its junction with Cwm Dale to a point 30 metres north of its junction with Churchill Road.
Any existing speed limits at the above location will be revoked.
These changes will come into effect on 14 August 2026.
Copies of these orders may be examined during normal office hours (8:45am-5:00pm Monday to Thursday, and 8:45am-4:00pm on Fridays) at Shropshire Council, The Guildhall, Frankwell, Shrewsbury.
If you wish to question the validity of either Order, or any provisions in it, on the grounds that they are not within the powers conferred by The Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act or of any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may, within six weeks from 6 August 2026, apply for that purpose to the High Court.
