TUNBRIDGE WELLS AREA
A229 The Common, Sissinghurst, TN17 2HT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow frame and cover replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A229 The Common, Sissinghurst, on or after 20th August 2026 for up to 1 night or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between property named Totlands and property named Oaklands, between the hours of 19:30 and 05:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

Bubhurst Lane, Frittenden (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow permanent reinstatement of concrete plinth works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Bubhurst Lane, Frittenden, on or after 17th August 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of Hollin Root Farm. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no alternative route for any through traffic. Access will be maintained where it is safe to do so.
College Drive, Royal Tunbridge Wells, TN2 3PS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow ducting works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of College Drive, Royal Tunbridge Wells, on or after 2nd September 2026 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the junction with Sandrock Road, for a distance approximately 45 metres, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 weekday only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no alternative route for any through traffic. Access will be maintained where it is safe to do so.
Dingleden & B2086 Rolvenden Road, Benenden (40 MPH SPEED LIMIT) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily impose a 40 MPH temporary mandatory speed limit on through traffic on parts of Dingleden & B2086 Rolvenden Road, Benenden, on or after 1st September 2026 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed. The current 60 MPH speed limits will be suspended for the duration of the works.
The current speed limit on Dingleden will be suspended from the junction with Rolvenden Road, for a distance approximately 10 metres in a South direction. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The current speed limit on B2086 Rolvenden Road will be suspended from near Beacon Mill House, for a distance approximately 270 metres in a West direction. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
Dynevor Road, Royal Tunbridge Wells, TN4 9HA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow frame and cover replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Dynevor Road, Royal Tunbridge Wells, on or after 21st August 2026 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between property number 62 and property number 52. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Woodland Road, Silverdale Road, Denbigh Road and vice versa.
Erskine Park Road, Rusthall, TN4 8UB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow new gas service connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Erskine Park Road, Rusthall, on or after 17th August 2026 for up to 8 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of property number 111. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Erskine Park Road, Ashley Gardens, Ashley Park, Manor Road and vice versa.
Ladys Gift Road, Southborough, TN4 0LQ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow frame and cover replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Ladys Gift Road, Southborough, on or after 21st August 2026 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed to the side of property numbers 70 to 72. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Ladys Gift Road, Kibbles Lane, Speldhurst Road and vice versa.
Middle Field, Pembury, TN2 4BS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow ducting works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Middle Field, Pembury, on or after 1st September 2026 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between property number 1 and property number 4. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no alternative route for any through traffic. Access will be maintained where it is safe to do so.
Nineveh Lane, Benenden (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow drainage repair works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Nineveh Lane, Benenden, on or after 17th August 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of Forest Farm. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Attwaters Lane, Water Lane, A229 Hawkhurst Road, A229 Hartley Road, B2086 Swattenden Lane, B2086 Benenden Road, B2086 Cranbrook Road, Babbs Lane, Spring Lane, Nineveh Lane and vice versa.
Ockley Road, Hawkhurst, TN18 4DY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow new water main connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Ockley Road, Hawkhurst, on or after 17th August 2026 for up to 47 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in its entirety. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Ockley Road, Winchester Road, A229 Cranbrook Road and vice versa.
Ridgeway, Pembury, TN2 4EB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow electric cable installation works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Ridgeway, Pembury, on or after 17th August 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction with Knights Close to the junction with Lower Green Road. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Ridgeway, Lower Green Road and vice versa.
Stone Court Lane, Pembury, TN2 4DE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow stopcock replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Stone Court Lane, Pembury, on or after 19th August 2026 for up to 2 nights or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of property number 10, between the hours of 19:00 and 06:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

Victoria Road, Southborough, TN4 0LP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow investigation, CCTV and jetting works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Victoria Road, Southborough, on or after 17th August 2026 for up to 19 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from outside Path to outside number 3, between the hours of 09:00 and 16:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Victoria Road, A26 London Road, A26 St Johns Road, Speldhurst Road, Etherington Hill, Stockland Green Road, Bentham Hill, Victoria Road and vice versa.
