BCP COUNCIL SURFACE DRESSING PROGRAMME TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council intends to make temporary traffic regulations, with the effects detailed below, to control traffic.

WHAT: Road closed to all vehicles and no parking – no waiting at any time and no loading/unloading at any time

WHERE & WHEN:

• Dorset Way from its junction with Holes Bay Roundabout to its junction with Mannings Heath Roundabout

Anticipated dates:

• 5th September 2026 until 6th September 2026 from 07:00 until 19:00

• 15th September 2026 until 21st September 2026 nighttime only from 20:00 until 06:00

• Cynthia Road from its junction with Ringwood Road to its junction with Brixey Road

Anticipated dates:

• 6th September 2026 until 8th September 2026 from 08:00 until 18:00

• 12th September 2026 until 13th September 2026 from 08:00 until 18:00

• 19th September 2026 until 20th September 2026 from 08:00 until 18:00

• Bure Lane from its junction with Friars Road to its junction with The Runway

Anticipated dates:

• 6th September 2026 until 8th September 2026 from 08:00 until 18:00

• 12th September 2026 until 13th September 2026 from 08:00 until 18:00

• 19th September 2026 until 20th September 2026 from 08:00 until 18:00

• The Runway from its junction with Bure Lane to its junction with Highcliffe Road

Anticipated dates:

• 6th September 2026 until 8th September 2026 from 08:00 until 18:00

• 12th September 2026 until 13th September 2026 from 08:00 until 18:00

• 19th September 2026 until 20th September 2026 from 08:00 until 18:00

WHY: This is to facilitate highway maintenance works by BCP Council

ACCESS: Full emergency services access will be maintained, access to properties will remain depending on site safety

DIVERSION: Via signed routes

These arrangements may be amended/extended should works overrun or weather conditions delay operations. Restrictions may be in effect under this Order for up to 18 months, and could be further extended with the approval of the Secretary of State.
