Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council (Parking Regulation, On-Street Parking Places and Off-Street Parking Places) Consolidation Order 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council in exercise of powers under sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 32, 35, 45, 46, 49, 51, 52, 53, 99, 101 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“The Act”) as amended and of all other enabling powers, and having regard to Section 122 of The Act and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 of The Act, and in accordance with Regulation 21 [special provisions for Consolidation Orders] of The Local Authorities’ Traffic Orders (Procedure) (England and Wales) Regulations 1996 has made the above Order on 29 July 2026 with the effects detailed in Parts 1 and 2 to this Notice. The Order comes into operation on 10 August 2026.

PART 1

REVOCATION OF ORDERS: The Orders specified in PART 2 of this Notice are to be revoked.

REPRODUCTION OF PROVISIONS OF ORDERS: The provisions of the Orders specified in PART 2 of this Notice are reproduced in this map-based Consolidation Order without addition or amendment to the schedules and without prejudice to other Orders or similar provisions, which remain in full force and effect. The preamble to the schedules has been amended to clarify the requirements of the provisions within the schedules.

SUPPORTING INFORMATION: From 7 August 2026 a copy of this Notice and a copy of the Order may be inspected online at: www.bcpcouncil.gov.uk/highwayconsultations.

REPRESENTATIONS: If you wish to question the validity of the Order or of any of the provisions contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act, as amended, or of any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may within six weeks from 7 August 2026, apply to the High Court for this purpose.

PART 2 – SCHEDULE OF REVOKED ORDERS

All previous permanent Orders relating to parking regulation, on-street parking places and off-street parking places on roads and car parks for which the Council are the Highway Authority shall hereby be revoked and re-introduced insofar as they relate to the restrictions and items shown on the Map Schedules to the Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council (Parking Regulation, On-Street Parking Places and Off-Street Parking Places) Consolidation Order 2026.
