TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)
Notice is hereby given that the City Council intends, in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s): ORDER NO. MCC 151801874: The City of Manchester (Alexandra Road South, Chorlton Park Ward) (Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2026 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Alexandra Road South.
The alternative routes for traffic will be: Mauldeth Road West, Princess Road, Wilbraham Road, Alexandra Road South vice versa.
The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate open cut excavation to reset 10 frame and covers in the carriageway. It is expected that the works will be in progress on the 25th August 2026 between the hours of 09:00 and 15:00. The order shall come into operation on the 25th August 2026 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months.
If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
