Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

SEVENOAKS AREA

A25 Maidstone Road, Riverhead, TN13 3Dx (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

Because of a detailed examination of the rail over road bridge, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A25 Maidstone Road, Riverhead, on or after 18th August 2026 for up to 1 night between 22.00hrs and 06.00hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed at the railway bridge.

The alternative route is via A25 London Road, A224 Amherst Hill, A224 London Road, Pembroke Road, A225 High Street, A225 Dartford Road, A225 St Johns Hill, A25 Bradbourne Vale Road and vice versa.



A225 Eynsford Road, Eynsford, DA4 0BJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

Because of the reconnection of an existing electricity supply for a customer, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A225 Eynsford Road, Eynsford, on or after 21st August 2026 for up to 2 nights between 20.00hrs and 05.00hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Littlecroft.

The alternative route is via A20 London Road, A20 Gorse Hill, A20 London Road, A227 Wrotham ByPass, A227 Borough Green Road, A227 Wortham Road, A227 Western Road, A25 Borough Green Road, A25 Ightham Bypass, A25 Sevenoaks Road, A25 Maidstone Road, A25 High Street, A25 Seal Road, A225 Otford Road, A225 Sevenoaks Road, A225 Station Road, A225 Shoreham Road, A225 Station Road and A225 High Street.



B2027 Chequers Hill, Bough Beech, TN8 7PH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

Because of a detailed examination of the rail over road bridge, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B2027 Chequers Hill, Bough Beech, on or after 2nd September 2026 for up to 1 night between 22.00hrs and 06.00hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed 20m either side of railway bridge.

The alternative route is via Hever Road, Uckfield Lane, Cowden Pound Road, B2026 Hartfield Road, A264 Colestock Road, East Grinstead Road/Watch Oak Hill/Ashurst Hill/Ashurst Road, B2188 Fordcombe Road/Spring Hill/Saints Hill/New Road/High Street, B276 Penshurst Road/Penshurst Lane, B2027 Hildenborough Road/Stocks Green Road/Rings Hill, Watts Cross Road, B245 London Road, Weald Interchange/A225 Riverhill/Tonbridge Road, A225 High Street, A224 London Road, A224 Amherst Hill, London Road Roundabout, A25 The Square, A25 Worships Hill/Westerham Road/Main Road/High Street/Westerham Road/Vicarage Hill/ Market Square/High Street/Westerham Road, B269 Kent Hatch Road/Spout Lane/Pootings Road, B2027 Bough Beech Road and vice versa.



Butchers Lane, Ash, TN15 7HF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

Because of the replacement of one existing telegraph pole and rehang associated cabling, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Butchers Lane, Ash, on or after 3rd September 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside The Cottage, Johnsons Farm.

The alternative route is via Butchers Lane, Chapel Wood Road, West Yoke and vice versa.



Canada Farm Road, South Darenth, DA4 9LA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Canada Farm Road, South Darenth, on or after 17th August 2026 for up to 1 day between 09.30hrs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between Three Gates Road and Beeches Farm Cottages.

The alternative route is via Scudders Hill, Valley Road, Fawkham Road, B260 Green Street Green Road, Canada Farm Road, Pinden and vice versa.



Castle Hill, Hartley, DA3 8LU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

Because of the replacement of one existing telegraph pole and rehang associated cabling works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Castle Hill, Hartley, on or after 3rd September 2026 for up to 2 days between 08:00hrs and 16:00hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Hazel Bank.

The alternative route is via Castle Hill, Fawkham Road, B260 Main Road, Hartley Road, Ash Road and vice versa.



Cotmans Ash Lane, Kemsing, TN15 6NJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Cotmans Ash Lane, Kemsing, on or after 22nd August 2026 for up to 1 day between 09.30hrs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed.

Cotmans Ash Lane will be closed between Cotmans Ash and Highfields and between Pilgrims Way and Crowdleham Cottage.

The alternative routes for any through traffic is via:

Cotmans Ash Lane, Clarkes Green Lane, Birchin Cross Road, Row Dow, Pilgrims Way and vice versa.

Pilgrims Way, Childsbridge Lane, West End, High Street, Heaverham Road and vice versa.



Crouch House Road, Edenbridge, TN8 5LG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Crouch House Road, Edenbridge, on or after 1st September 2026 for up to 2 days between 09:30hrs and 15:30hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed adjacent to Firlees.

The alternative route is via Crouch House Road, Stangrove Road, B2026 Mont St Aignan Way/Station Road/Main Road, Hilders Lane, Little Browns Lane and vice versa.



Footpath, Pear Tree Close, Swanley, BR8 7US (PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

Because of the installation of a new electricity supply, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit pedestrian traffic on part of the footpath on Pear Tree Close, Swanley, on or after 1st September 2026 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.

The footpath will be closed outside number 26.

The alternative route is via Shurlock Avenue, Pear Tree Close and vice versa.



How Green Lane, Hever, TN8 7NN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

Because of a new water connection, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of How Green Lane, Hever, on or after 17th August 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed approx. 170m away from the junction of Hever Road.

The alternative route is via Hever Road, B2027 Chequers Hill/Clinton Lane, How Green Lane and vice versa.



How Green Lane, Hever, TN8 7PR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

Because of the replacement of one existing telegraph pole and rehang associated cabling, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of How Green Lane, Hever, on or after 2nd September 2026 for up to 2 days between 08:00hrs and 16:30hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed at the junction with B2027 Clinton Lane.

The alternative route is via B2027 Clinton Lane, B2027 Chequers Hill, Hever Road, How Green Lane and vice versa.



Lea Road, Sevenoaks, TN13 1PQ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

Because of South East Water repair works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Lea Road, Sevenoaks, on or after 17th August 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed at the junction of Weald Road.

There is no alternative route but access will be given when safe to do so.



Main Road, Knockholt, TN14 7NU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

Because of drainage cleansing works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Main Road, Knockholt, on or after 2nd September 2026 for up to 1 night between 22.00hrs and 02.00hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between Burlings Lane and Mount Cottage.

The alternative route is via Cudham Lane South, Cudham Lane North, A21 Sevenoaks Road, Rushmore Hill, Main Road and vice versa.



Mussenden Lane, Horton Kirby, DA3 8NX (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Mussenden Lane, Horton Kirby, on or after 17th August 2026 for up to 1 day between 09.30hrs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed near Fairhavens Stables.

The alternative route is via Mussenden Lane, Lombard Street, School Lane, Three Gates Road and vice versa.



Pilgrims Way, Westerham, TN16 2DS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Pilgrims Way, Westerham, on or after 2nd September 2026 for up to 1 day between 09.30hrs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between A233 London Road and Force Green Lane.

The alternative route is via A233 London Road, Force Green Lane and vice versa.



Puddledock Lane, Westerham (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

Toys Hill Village Show

Because of Toys Hill Village Show, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on Puddledock Lane, Westerham, on or after 5 September 2026 for up to 1 day between 13.30hrs and 18.30hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside The Village Hall.

The alternative route is via Puddledock Lane, Toys Hill and vice versa.



Shacklands Road, Shoreham, TN14 7TX (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Shacklands Road, Shoreham, on or after 1st September 2026 for up to 1 day between 09.30hrs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Little Timberden Cottage.

The alternative route is via High Street, Filston Lane, Pilgrims Way West, Pilgrims Way Link Bridge, A224 Polhill/London Road, Badgers Mount Roundabout, Shacklands Road and vice versa.



St Clere Hill Road, West Kingsdown, TN15 6AH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

Because of UK Power Networks works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of St Clere Hill Road, West Kingsdown, on or after 17th August 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed to the east of Oaklands.

The alternative route is via Pells Lane, A20 London Road, School Lane, Tinkerpot Lane, St Clere Hill Road and vice versa.



Toys Hill, Brasted, TN8 6NP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

Because of the replacement of one existing telegraph pole and rehang associated cabling, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Toys Hill, Brasted, on or after 2nd September 2026 for up to 2 days between 09.30hrs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed adjacent to Boons Wood.

The alternative route is via Toys Hill - B2042 Green Lane - B2042 Ide Hill Road - Ide Hill Road From B2042 Ide Hill Road To C307 Ide Hill Road - Ide Hill Roundabout To Wheatsheaf Hill - Sundridge Road - New Road - A25 Main Road - A25 High Street - Chart Lane and vice versa.



Valley Road & Fawkham Road, Fawkham, DA3 8NR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

Because of kerbing and patching works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on Valley Road and Fawkham Road, Fawkham, on or after 18th August 2026 for up to 10 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between Brands Hatch Road and The Viaduct.

The alternative route is via Brands Hatch Road, Fawkham Road, A20 London Road, Ash Lane, South Ash Road, The Street, Ash Road, Chapel Wood Road, Ash Road, Hartley Road, B260 Main Road, Fawkham Road and vice versa.
