Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

MAIDSTONE AREA

B2162 Benover Road, Yalding, ME18 6JS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow water meter installation works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B2162 Benover Road, Yalding, on or after 17th August 2026 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of property named Willow Grove. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2162 Benover Road, B2162 Hampstead Lane, B2015 Maidstone Road, A228 Maidstone Road Roundabout, A228 Hale Street By Pass, A228 Branbridges Ind Est Roundabout, A228 Branbridges Road, Whetsted Road Roundabout, B2160 Maidstone Road, B2160 Gedges Hill, B2160 Maidstone Road, Kippings Cross Roundabout, A21 From J A262/B2162 Roundabout To J B2160 Roundabout Including Roundabout, A21 Lamberhurst Quarter, A21 Lamberhurst By-pass, A21 J A262/B2162 Roundabout, B2162 Horsmonden Road, B2162 Lamberhurst Road, B2162 Maidstone Road, B2162 Claygate, B2162 Collier Street, B2162 Benover Road and vice versa.



Bow Bridge, Wateringbury, ME18 5EA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow changing of sleepers and removal of scrap to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Bow Bridge, Wateringbury, on or after 23rd August 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed 20 metres either side of Wateringbury railway crossing, between the hours of 01:00 on 23rd August 2026 and 04:00 on 24th August 2026 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Bow Bridge, B2015 Maidstone Road, B2162 Hampstead Lane, B2162 Benover Road, B2010 High Street, B2010 Yalding Hill, Kenward Road, Bow Hill and vice versa.



Boxley Road, Maidstone, ME14 2AN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow flow meter reading works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Boxley Road, Maidstone, on or after 6th September 2026 for up to 1 night or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction with Pine Grove to the junction with Rock Road, between the hours of 19:00 and 05:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Boxley Road, Penenden Heath Road, A249 Sittingbourne Road, B2012 Holland Road, B2012 Well Road, Boxley Road and vice versa.



Cox Street, Yelsted, ME14 3HG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow telegraph pole replacement and associated cable rehanging works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Cox Street, Yelsted, on or after 19th August 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of the back gate of Cock Hill Farm. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Cox Street, Scragged Oak Road, White Hill Road and vice versa.



Dover Street, Maidstone, ME16 8LD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & SUSPEND ONE WAY) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow telegraph pole replacement and associated cable rehanging works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Dover Street, Maidstone, on or after 17th August 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed. The One Way order on Dover Street will be suspended to allow for access.

The road will be closed between property number 14 and property number 16. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Upper Fant Road, Whitmore Street and Milton Street.



Hubbards Hill, Lenham (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow telegraph pole replacement and associated cable rehanging works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Hubbards Hill, Lenham, on or after 18th August 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of Middleton Farm and Barn. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Hubbards Hill, Warren Street, Bunce Court Road, Otterden Road, The Street, Eastling Road, Stalisfield Road, Hart Hill, A20 Maidstone Road, A20 Ashford Road, Hubbards Hill and vice versa.



Iden Crescent, Staplehurst, TN12 0AF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow telegraph pole replacement and associated cable rehanging works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Iden Crescent, Staplehurst, on or after 4th September 2026 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of property number 25. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Iden Crescent, Hanmer Way, Iden Crescent and vice versa.



Kingsgate Close, Maidstone, ME16 0UN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow new service installation works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Kingsgate Close, Maidstone, on or after 18th August 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of property number 11. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

There is no alternative route for any through traffic. Access will be maintained where it is safe to do so.



Lees Road, Laddingford, ME18 6DB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow stopcock meter installation works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Lees Road, Laddingford, on or after 22nd August 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of Bulk, Woodfalls Industrial Estate. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Lees Road, B2162 Benover Road, Forge Lane, Jarmons Lane, Claygate Road, Laddingford and vice versa.



Northumberland Road, Maidstone, ME15 7DS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow telegraph pole replacement and associated cable rehanging works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Northumberland Road, Maidstone, on or after 19th August 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of property number 76. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Willington Street, A274 Sutton Road, Northumberland Road and vice versa.



Pye Corner & Eastwood Road, Ulcombe, ME17 1EE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow overhead fibre cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Pye Corner & Eastwood Road, Ulcombe, on or after 3rd September 2026 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The roads will be closed from the junction with Lenham Road, for a distance approximately 1520 metres in a West direction between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Pye Corner, The Street, Ulcombe Hill, Lenham Road, Headcorn Road, Liverton Hill, Headcorn Road, Lenham Road, Eastwood Road and vice versa.



Redwall Lane, Linton, ME15 0RL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow fibre cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Redwall Lane, Linton, on or after 19th August 2026 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from Brickyard Cottages to the junction with East Street. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Redwall Lane, A229 Linton Hill, B2163 Heath Road, Upper Hunton Hill, Hunton Hill, East Street and vice versa.



Ulcombe Hill, Ulcombe, ME17 1LU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow fibre customer connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Ulcombe Hill, Ulcombe, on or after 17th August 2026 for up to 11 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in its entirety. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via The Street, Headcorn Road, Crumps Lane, Ulcombe Road, Kings Road, A274 Mill Bank, A274 Maidstone Road, A274 Headcorn Road, A274 Sutton Valence Hill, A274 North Street, Chartway Street, Lenham Road and vice versa.



Vanity Lane, Linton, ME17 4BP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow pole testing works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Vanity Lane, Linton, on or after 4th September 2026 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction with B2163 Heath Road for a distance approximately 1120 metres in a South direction, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 weekday only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Vanity Lane, Wheelers Lane, A229 Linton Hill, B2163 Heath Road and vice versa.
