What is happening?
Highways
Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
FOLKESTONE & HYTHE AREA
Beckett Road, Brookland (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow highway repair and maintenance works to be carried out Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Beckett Road, Brookland, on or after 17th August 2026 until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction of Harvey Road to outside Old Farm, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Beckett Road, A259 Rye Road, A259 Brookland Bypass A259, A259 Straight Lane, A259 Rhee Wall Roundabout, B2080 Rhee Wall, B2080 Brenzett Corner Roundabout, B2080 Rhee Wall Road, B2080 Station Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Bossingham Road, Stelling Minnis & The Street, Bossingham (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Bossingham Road, Stelling Minnis & The Street, Bossingham, on or after 20th August 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
Bossingham Road & The Street will be closed at the bottom of the track to the School Farm House, between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Bossingham Road, Curtis Lane, B2068 Stone Street, B2068 Street End, Hardres Court Road, School Lane, The Street and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Misling Lane, Stelling Minnis (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow tree cutting to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Misling Lane, Stelling Minnis, on or after 17th August 2026 for up to 6 hours or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction of B2068 Stone Street for approximately 122m in a Westerly direction, between the hours of 09:00 and 15:30 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2068 Stone Street, Maxted Street, Misling Lane and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
