What is happening?

PROPHET MUHAMMAD WALK 2026

TEMPORARY CLOSURES

THE BOROUGH COUNCIL OF BOLTON

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION (SPECIAL

EVENTS) ACT 1994

The Council will make an order, operative between the hours of 1:45pm and 3:15pm on Sunday 23 August 2026 to enable the Prophet Muhammad Walk to safely take place. All vehicles not engaged in the event will be prohibited from proceeding on parts of: Grecian Crescent, Rishton Lane, Settle Street, Higher Swan Lane, Bridgeman Street, High Street, Bella Street.

The walk will operate under a rolling roadblock with streets open to traffic once the parade has passed. More details on our website.

The order will cease to have effect at 4pm on 23 August 2026 or on completion of the event, whichever first occurs.
