(TEMPORARY PROHIBITIONS) ORDER 2026 (R26-183)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Costock in the Borough of Rushcliffe
The effects of the Order will be:
1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of road:
Main Street, Costock - From its junction with Loughborough Road to its junction with Bars Hill.
2. Vehicles are prohibited from waiting, loading and unloading in the following length of road at Costock in the Borough of Rushcliffe:-
Main Street, Costock - (Both Sides) (At Any Time) - From its junction with Loughborough Road to its junction with Bars Hill.
3. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.
4. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.
IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows:
From Monday 24th August 2026
Until Saturday 29th August 2026 inclusive
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be:
Loughborough Road, Costock - Loughborough Road, Rempstone - Abbey Road, Rempstone - Melton Road, Stanford on Soar - Rempstone Road, Normanton on Soar - Travells Hill, East Leake - Woodgate Road, East Leake - Brookside, East Leake - Main Street, East Leake - Costock Road, East Leake - Leake Road, Costock - Vice Versa
The Order will come into force on 24th August 2026 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out. The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).
The prohibition is required to enable Via East Midlands to carry out resurfacing works
