TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)
Notice is hereby given that the City Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following Temporary One Way Traffic Order(s):
ORDER NO. MCC 151579455 : The City of Manchester (Dinton Street & Cornbrook Road, Hulme Ward) (Temporary One Way Vehicular Traffic, No Waiting, No Loading & Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2026 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to make Dinton Street One Way; introduce No Waiting, No Loading on Cornbrook Road & Prohibition Vehicular Traffic on Dinton Street on 2 occasions within the duration. The alternative routes for traffic will be: Cornbrook Road, Bridgewater Way, Chester Road, Trentham Street & be managed by 24/7 traffic marshals for the full closure. The City Council is satisfied that this restriction is necessary in order adjacent development works. It is expected that the works will be in progress from 27th August 2026 to 27th February 2028. The Order shall come into operation on 27th August 2026 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
ORDER NO. MCC 151719575: The City of Manchester (Shawbrook Road, Burnage Ward) (Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2026 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Shawbrook Road. The alternative routes for traffic will be: Shawbrook Road, Westdale Gardens vice versa. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate rebuilding chamber required for developer services. It is expected that the works will be in progress from the 24th August 2026 to the 26th August 2026. The order shall come into operation on the 24th August 2026 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
