(NO. ) ORDER 2026

The Council propose to make an Order under Sections 82, 83 and 84 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, its effect will be to impose a speed limit of 20 miles per hour on Grove Gardens, Eden Close, Century Street, Woodland Gardens, Oakenbottom Road, Lever Hall Road, Maryland Avenue, Century Street, Academy Way, Harrier Close, Hawkers Lane, Foxhunter Close, Sky Lark Close, Coachfield Drive, Grand Junction Way, Chequerbent Green, Garland Gate, Lee Hall Place, Farmstead Drive, Campfield Avenue and West Halt Drive as specified in the draft Order.

The Council propose to make an Order under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 3(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the said Act of 1984, its effect will be to impose a Maximum Gross Weight Limit (except for access) for vehicles over 7.5 Tonnes at Grand Junction Way (Westhoughton) and Chequerbent Green (Westhoughton).

Any objections or representations should state the grounds they are made on and be sent either by email to highways@bolton.gov.uk or in writing to Highways and Engineering Division, 3rd Floor, Paderborn House, Civic Centre, Bolton BL1 1UA no later than 4th September 2026.
